Will Charlie and Bosh play together in the frontcourt?
I dont think he'll get ROY if he doesn't start.
Anyways, so far my vote goes to either Chris Paul, Rashad McCants or Felton.

I'm gonna go for Deron Williams or Bogey.. but also wouldnt be suprised if Villanueva gets it..

I think it's in this order:
5) Andrew Bogut - I only see him winning if he starts and gets touches.
4) Raymond Felton - I think he will struggle a little but once he gets the hang of things, he will cruise IMO
3) Chris Paul - TAlented player who is compared to Isiah Thomas. Playing for New Orleans so a lot of incentive to do well
2) Charlie Villanueva - His playing time... If he starts and gets playing time and shtos, he's gonna have a shot at ROY
1) Derron Williams - Highest chance out of the 3 PG's because he's a good player going to a decent team and ready to step in while the other two will have to try and help lift the team up and I'm not sure how they will cope with that.

Darko Milicic

(just Kidding)
I'll go with Bogut, with Magloire and all, I see him coming along as the season progresses.
Next on my list will be CP. He's a fast player and a good passer on a bad team full of leapers and road-runners. Assists galore...
For all we've seen in this pre-season, Vilanueva is a serious candidate

, if given PT.
Marvin williams is in no way as good as the last SF choosen this early was ('Melo) and atlanta is crowded at his position.
Jasikevicius could make some noise, too.
I just have a bad feeling about Deron Williams. Don't know why...

Will Charlie and Bosh play together in the frontcourt?
Probably not. Araujo has played well the last few-preseason games, so I'm guessing he'll get the start during the regular season. Charlie will probably play the role that Donyell Marshall played last year, except with some more athletic flair to it.
Just a note: CV31 had 22 points, 7 rebounds, zero turnovers, 2 steals and 4/4 3pt field goals...

i dont see 4/4 3pt fgs happening that often this season from him.

kinda off topic, but does anyone remember what steven a. smith said (not sure if he actually say anything like this) if cv does well, did he say he was gonna do something stupid, maybe along the lines of "if charlie does well, ill shut the fuck up"? Cause i really want to see cv make stephen a smith eat his own fucking words

Green??..either him or Deron Williams..

I was basically just telling people what he had in the game. Knocking down 4 three pointers by a rookie is something that's pretty good, even if it's pre-season. Villaneuva's not a perimeter player, but I think his three point shot will become good enough that people will have to respect it.

Rashad McCants... He has a lot to prove. He also has set goals for himself (10 apg) and I too think he will start by the end of the year. Only other choice is CP.

Only me and you understand the raptors
If you seen him in his college days, he improved alot coming into the NBA. I already respect his game and his three point skills for a big man. Another candidate that might surprise everyone is Joey Graham. He is full of hustle this kid.
Toronto Star - Rookie Joey Graham was back in the starting lineup here last night as the Raptors brought the curtain down on the NBA pre-season and coach Sam Mitchell is hinting he could very well be there when things start for real next Wednesday.
Trying to find some balance between his first- and second-string units, the head coach thinks letting Graham replace Morris Peterson to start each game would do the trick.
"I'm just trying to look at some things," Mitchell said before the Raptors faced the Trail Blazers. "I'm trying to look at what combinations make us the best possible team. Do you try to front load all your experience with your starters and just have a bench of rookies and first year players (coming off the bench) or do you break it up a little bit?"

Charlie Villanueva followed by Chris Paul.

Villanueva may get too comfortable with his perimeter game that he might develop into shooting big man with no post game. A softy. *See Jonathan Bender*

im undecided between mccants and diogu

before they got maglooire, i woulda said bogut... but paul will definately get it now

and if he gets too comfy with that shot then i think they will take away his minutes.

Bogey Man

I'm going with:
1) Chris Paul
2) Charlie Villanueva
3) Sean May
4) Andrew Bogut
5) Raymond Felton
Others: Javisevikuis, D.Williams, Warrick, Graham
Paul will get all the chance to play, Charlie will also get to play on the Raptors, and has shown very good scoring ability. May will get about the same minutes as a Bogut, backing up Emeka and Brezec, and I can see about 10-7 from him. Bogut's minutes are going down now with the addition of Jamaal, so his numbers won't be as impressive.
Villanueva may get too comfortable with his perimeter game that he might develop into shooting big man with no post game. A softy. *See Jonathan Bender*
Bender never actually has a post game, and he game into the league as a 6'9 F-G, not as a big man. He grew to 7'0, and became a SF/PF/SG, so he's not really a big man.
Charlie in the pre-season has shown versatility in his scoring, he scores inside, outisde, wherever. Kinda like Rasheed Wallace scores in terms of going in and out.
1) Derron Williams - Highest chance out of the 3 PG's because he's a good player going to a decent team and ready to step in while the other two will have to try and help lift the team up and I'm not sure how they will cope with that.
He's coming off the bench for now, and will be getting about 20-24 MPG, so I don't know how his production will be in that little time. Chris Paul is actually looking like the best passer of the three, though he has the worst team, and Raymond Felton's scoring along with his shooting are better than I expected. Deron's shooting has also been very impressive in the pre-season, which is good. They all have different strength's and weaknesses, but Paul actually looks like the best all-round guy of the three so far.

I'm rooting for Deron...he's on a good team and should get them some wins...i hope they don't just go for raw stats like they did with Okafor even though the Bobcats kept losing.
But, I'm shocked how well CV is doing. He does play the most minutes, but even if you look at just points per minute he's still right up there at the top...nobody had doubts McCants could score, Charlie is a shocker...and he's doing it from range.
I guess he's just one of those guys that does better in the NBA, in college a guy his size has to play inside, and it's looking like that's not his strength.
Heck, a lot of scouts bashed McGrady in high school because he had no post skills or bulk, they expected a guy his size to play PF.
Thu Nov 03, 2005 7:32 am
Maybe CV realized all the people who were saying he was a bad pick, and started working his ass of
Thu Nov 03, 2005 10:09 am
You'd think everyone from Australia is going for Bogut but it doesn't seem that way
Thu Nov 03, 2005 10:17 am
Bogut didnt play that bad last night (better than I thought he would). Had a clutch basket there in overtime. Hopefully everything goes up from here. Maybe I am just not giving him enough credit.
Thu Nov 03, 2005 10:24 am
Bogut seems to be a good rookie
Thu Nov 03, 2005 3:56 pm
Chris Paul sucks Deron is the way to go. I live in utah and watched the game tonight Deron was sick
Thu Nov 03, 2005 4:05 pm
I agree, Deron had a good game tonight, alotta pep in his step. 18 pts 3 rebs and 3 ast arent bad for his 20 something minutes.
