here's a thread dedicated to detroit's baddest bad boy.

timeline (2005-2006)

- october 11, 2005 [ Pistons (87) Bulls (76) ]
milicic scores 7 points on 3-7 shooting, 4 boards, 3 assists, 4 blocks in 24 minutes.

- october 13, 2005 (4 PM)
milicic gets arrested for having his windows tinted. gangsta, son. he's on his way to superstardom

- october 13, 2005 [Pistons (95) Bucks (88) ]
milicic scores 10 points on 4-5 shooting, grabs 9 boards and blocks 2 shots in 18 minutes.

- october 15, 2005 [Pistons (91) Wolves (80) ]
milicic scores 10 points on 0-5 shooting (10-12 ft), grabs 5 boards and blocks 6 shots in 21 minutes.

- october 18, 2005 [Pistons (88) Mavs (94) ]
milicic scores 12 points on 4-7 shooting, grabs 5 boards and dishes out 3 assists in 22 minutes.

i predict good things for darko this season if he plays. he needs to keep his turnovers down, as it's pretty evident in the preseason that he has the tendency to cough it up quite a bit. defensively, he's been a decent shotblocker but i've read that he can still get bullied in the post. lets go darko, i don't want to jump off your bandwagon again.

*** Mid-season Assessment ***

this guy sucks. (for now)

I've noticed recently that Darko is pretty foul prone. He better get that in check or else he won't be seeing any playing time soon.

yeah his fouls are right up there. but then again, he's just a bench player for now so it shouldn't really be a problem. i mean if he's in foul trouble there's always rasheed, antonio mcdyess and others to pick up the slack

You don't get a lot of 7'1, 260lbs guys coming off your bench. Did you know that he has better vertical and lateral quickness than Carmelo Anthony? Plus, he's one talented motherfucker with crazy versatility. He still has superstar potential left in the tank.

He's only just 20 so he's bound to get pushed around. He looks like a talented shot blocker from the things of it, but still picks up too many fouls, something that should sort itself out as time goes by.

He's a supremely talented player, but, of course he's gotta use those skills. Right now he needs something to build his confidence. Some play late last season helped, and also playing international ball, summer league and now Training Camp.

There's no reason he shouldn't be a superstar. He's has some superior tutelage (Wallace 2x, Campbell, McDyess, D Davis) and has all the tools to be KG!

Dude, Darko had 10 points from free throws and 6 blocks! (Y) Incredible, hehe

And his buddy Carlos Delfino is doing pretty well too trying to get a job with 9, 6 and 3 I believe!

i hope darko pulls some superman shit when they play the knicks this year. it'd be awesome if he dominated the knicks front court then gave larry brown the crotch chop soon afterwards

seriously, the blocks that he has been picking up is a big surprise to me this year. guess he learned something from the wallace brothers. oh man, imagine if flip played all 3 of them in the front court sometime this year. man that would be a nightmare for opposing teams

darko is my man ;)

as for fouls, he doesnt need to worry about them as Matt said. it is better off he plays aggresive to get the ball and fouls than just standing back. as a bench player, foul trouble isnt his problem.

6 blocks and 10 points and 5 rbds is just amazing, especially for someone who hardly played at all last year.
Heres hoping Mcdyess or davis sucumb to season ending injuries

Yes those numbers are great. Naw you guys need McDyess as a backup up. As for Davis, he should Retire. Wouldn't be gettin much minutes behind Campbell.

he gives up 40kilos (100pounds) to him
doesnt matter if he can block him, shaq will flatten him

Darko already blocked the shit out of Shaq last season.

His shot blocking isn't something that has surprised me, even in limited spots last season he was registering a block or two.

I think he'll be the 2nd big man off the bench.

No way.

Prince is still improving and he's one of the best defensive SF's in the L.

Darko is still 20 right?

And he's versatile enough to play the 3.. and he's got good instincts... not even a try?
