Fantasy League - What do you think?

Postby Laxation on Tue Oct 11, 2005 9:29 am

This is about the salary cap challenge on www.nba.com (its points based)

Guards:
Lebron James
Vince Carter

Forwards:
Al Jefferson
Gerald Wallace

Centre:
Yao Ming

6th:
Kwame Brown

With James as guard, it really sets up a great season, recording heaps of boards and assists. (worth 2.5points each)
Jefferson will get heaps more court time now that Walker is gone - and he did well last season with his limited time.

Gerald Wallace should have another great year.
Yao Ming should continue to improve, and Kwame will hopefully be good... :S

Any ideas?

Mine is:
Kidd
Kobe
Kurt Thomas
Troy Murphy
Magloire
6th- VanExel

I'm hoping that Kidd and Fobe will produce 3D's in some games and Thomas, Murphy, and Magloire to average 2D's. I expecting a breakout from Nick this season. I'm not keen on getting Lebron because I'm expecting his stats to go down a bit with the presence of ball-hog Hughes.

Why are you expecting a breakout from Nick ? The Spurs have too many offensive weapons of the bench like Finley, Barry, Horry, etc.

C:Yao (he certainly improved due to seasoning and Swift's presence.)
F:LeBron (even if his stats stay the same, he'll still be a fantasy monster.)
F:Carmelo (he's in better shape and will play with a chip on his shoulder.)
G:Iguodala (he'll be better in all categories.)
G:Telfair (he has become a starter, he's a great passer and he's cheap.)
6th: J.R. Smith (I hope I'm lucky.)

C: Yao
F: Kirilenko
F: Haslem
G: Redd
G: Terry
6th Man: Dalembert

Taking a risk on Terry and Haslem for consistency. Hoping that Yao and Kirilenko put up some Double D's, and Redd hits some big points.

Dalembert and Simmons are a bit of a gambles, IMO. We don't even know if BS () is going to start - he is coming off the bench in the preseason.

Well, it was Curry or Dalembert..and I just couldn't take my chances on Curry. Dalembert will get some nice oops and will be getting rebounds and blocks. I also think Simmons will play great off the bench or on the bench. He will still play good.
