Just a question, who makes up the 3rd part of the trio? Shaq, Kobe, ???

Mon Apr 21, 2003 4:00 am

i'm guessing Phil Jackson

Mon Apr 21, 2003 4:42 am

He wants to finish his career as a Lakers, maybe you heard some rumors about signing with Memphis but thats just crap, in a couple years he will be the 1st option on the Lakers when Shaq retires.

Shaq said when his contract runs out, hes done.
so shaq will be retiring in about 2-3 years.

yer, i read somewhere that he said when he's 30 he will retire. So he could work on other thing like film's and music.

Mon Apr 21, 2003 9:33 pm

he is 30 now or 31
i think his contract runs out after next year.
so i think next year is his last year.

Hasn't Shaq expressed interest in entering law enforcement? I believe he has a degree in that field from LSU (he missed a game to receive it a couple of years ago if I remember rightly).

Mon Apr 21, 2003 10:14 pm

i think they hsould spilt up... if they win this championship, then y not, they have been playing eith each other for so long, if kobe takes an extecsion then he'll be there ofr a while, they have already acompshished everything, kobe prob wants t more then anything.. to get away form shaq.. coz he know that no matter what he'll do in LA he would not get full credit for it and whould not be recognised as rue superstar as the years go by...
he need to take his ouwn team, shaq qill retie in maybe 8-9 years... thas too long.. thats what T-mac wanted when he was in toronto, his own team.. so even if he goes to a bad team he would be able to put up big numbers... all his carrer he has be overshadoed by some1, 1st it was MJ not more or less SHAQ. he need his own team!!

I don't think Shaq will play 19 or 20 years in the NBA. He usually expresses a desire to retire sooner rather than later - though it's not unprecedented for a player to change his mind about retirement (Michael Jordan, of course) or continually talk about retirement, only to play beyond the suggestion (Charles Barkley).

Or much up, when so many people wants to meet Shaq :) .

You know guys, as scary as the NBA will be without Shaq (just think of maybe Brad Miller on the All-NBA team if Yao doesn't pan out or something), or as scary as Shaq as a cop would be, the thing that really makes me mess my drawers is the thought of another motion picture like "Steel" or "Kazaam." I don't think you could try to make a movie so bad. It just has to happen.

Once Shaq is gone, Darko and Dan will rule the paint

yer coz that's what its all about, looking good on a bad team

kobe would be stupid to leave L.A , shaq isn't going to stay in the league much longer even though he could play another 10 years if he wanted.
kobe's averaging 30ppg for the season 39ppg in the playoffs he has 3 rings with the lakers what more does he want?

After one game...

Shaq wants to pursue other goals, ie. making movies.

Tue Apr 22, 2003 11:42 am

Stupid Rodman, you see what the guy does once he gets into someone else's head,. Retiring when is 30, lol. Retiring to be a movie star,. At least he doesn't have to change the color of his hair every other game.

Tue Apr 22, 2003 12:04 pm

Didn't Rodman play until he was 38/39? And in any event, I doubt he'd have much influence over Shaq. It was Shaq who said "Me responding to Rodman is like talking to a Bugs Bunny doll. I don't like to talk to Looney
Tunes."

Fortunately I didn't see either, but I did like Blue Chips.

"Neon, please don't step on the children."
"OK!"
