Great game man. A very high scoring one. How many minutes are you using anyways. Notch it down a bit. Looks good man. I like all the pics.

Yeah man, I probably really should XD
How to do that though? Can you do it in Dynasty mode and keep your progress and whatnot? Cause I think the last time I did a roster update was... NBA Live 2000

:D

The X wrote:agghh....scores too high....I'm sure you'll sort that out in time

Yeah thats what i thought too, and what was funny was that I had to fight hard to keep the lead too man

Thanks dude, I am playing 12 minute quarters (I played the whole game), on superstar mode with default sliders.

Wormy10 wrote:I think the sliders are fine just lower the game time for sure

It was a run and gun game and I got drawn into it you know? By the way, the Mavs really play like they do in real life

You know you dont have to lower the game time to get realistic scores, plenty of people play on 12min quarters and get realistic scores, try use Sits sliders, they seem pretty good, and just make sure oyu dont try fast break on every play (Y)

Nice start btw

Jazz and Bucks Strike A Deal

November 4, 2005: Salt Lake City, Utah - This morning the Utah Jazz president held a official press conference about the trade of power foward Carlos Boozer and shooting guard C.J. Miles to the Milwaukee Bucks in return for the 1st pick of this year's draft, center Andrew Bogut and, as a throw in, center Daniel Santiago.

The main reason for the trade of a player like Boozer was that it freed up over 7 million dollars in salary cap for the Jazz. The Jazz were scheduled to pay Boozer and Miles a combined 12 million dollars while Bogut and Staniago were no more than 4 million dollars. Bogut was young and was a force in the preseason, and for such a low price, it was irresistable to the Jazz. After the press conference Bogut showed his skills in a half an hour individual practice session in which several members of the press were allowed in. He was impressive during the practice session, making dunks, layups, fadeaway and more. Overall the Jazz community was happy to see someone with so much talent and potential, after the disappointing last year the Jazz suffered last year, the fans were indifferent about Boozer leaving and welcomed Bogut with open arms.

Bogut the New Attraction

UTAH JAZZ: 117
GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS: 97

Image

November 4, 2005: Oakland, California Today matchup between the Utah Jazz and the Golden State Warriors was the debuted game of recently aquired center-power foward Andrew Bogut from the Bucks along with Daniel Santiago for Carlos Boozer and C.J. Miles. Utah fans were buzzing with excitment as this game approached tipoff.

The game begun and right away the Jazz took the lead and ran the ball down the court, and before the Warriors knew it, they were in a 9-2 hole and called timeout. Whatever they heard during the timeout fueled them and they answered with 7 straight points to even the game. The rest of the quarter was the same, Utah going on a run, followed by a Warriors run, and by the end of the first quarter, the Jazz had a one point advantage, 26-25.

The teams opened the second quarter from where they left off and continued to trade baskets until finally the Jazz missed several midranged jumpers and the Warriors converted on fast break. This run continued for the Warriors, and the Jazz were not able to get all of the buckets back, thus falling behind by 8 with about 2 minutes left. Finally in the dying seconds the Jazz's Andrei Kirilenko hit a 3 pointer to narrow the lead to 3, but then the buzzer ended and the Warriors walked into the locker rooms with a 3 point lead, 47 - 44.

The 3rd quater opened with the Warriors pushing the ball into the paint and driving with Jason Richardson and Baron Davis. This idea worked for the first several plays, but then the Jazz begun shutting down the duo, blocking them time after time and finishing the fast break baskets. Little by little the Jazz crawled back and soon the game was tied at 76 with little over a minute. It was then the temp shifted to the Jazz. The Warriors missed a shot and the Jazz went running, feeding Bogut for a dunk. On the ensuing play, Deron Williams was hit in the back with the ball, allowed the Jazz to take the possesion and Okur scored before the end of the quarter. Jazz lead 80 - 76.

As the final quarter began the Jazz showed no signs of giving up and continued to run and take it at the Warriors. Despite bad shooting from downtown, the 3 up front, Okur, Bogut and Kirilenko cleaned up the offensive boards, with 6 for Okur and 5 for both Bogut and Kirilenko. Davis for the Warriors did his best, but bad decisions cost him possession and allowed the Jazz to take over again. Final score: 116 - 97. This game was much closer than the score indicated, but in the end the Warriors had nothing and the Jazz prevailed.

Dude, I have 5 centers, do you think I am going to keep them all? I have a trade that is pending right now that will get rid of 3 of them and get me a shooting guard, though i can't remember who.

Um ok guys a little bad news.

I broke off the left ctrl key on my laptop keyboard and had to bring in into UMASS OIT Hardware Services. They took my laptop in for repair and might actually have to take apart the computer, and replace the keyboard...

After I handed it to them I realized that I won't be able to access internet from home because for some reason our internet is only compatible with the laptop now... and plus when I handed in my laptop, my live disc was in the drive, so they have both. XD

I probably won't get my laptop back for another like 4-5 days, so gonna be nothing until like next monday, I am extremely sorry.

But once I get it back, it will be flowing again. and this means, Sit, if you are reading this, you are in charge of the Mod for now.

LOL your kiding right I follow the jazz since i live in utah and i know whats going on here. Ostertag has lost 25lbs, Boozer is 100% and says hes ready to rock and roll. they all say there going to play good this year. You guys dont know anything about the jazz so just go back to your teams that havent made it to the playoffs in 10 years.

not a bad trade....it's probably a trade that would be more likely to occur if Bogut struggled mightily for a season or two, but nonetheless it is good to see Bogut back in Utah :P

Err.... my avatar is just for my Dynasty... and I don't like Carmelo Anthony that much, just the nickname. Also I actually go for the Magic, last time I check we won 10 more games than Utah

EASTERN W L
Orlando 36 46

WESTERN W L
Utah 26 56

BTW Jing, good trade. Nice update.

I turned down the sliders and they are a lot better now, only scored like 110 something, I kinda like the 12 minute thing, but i think I might just take it down to 10, and then make the game harder.

You know what dude, neither did I until they got AK a couple years ago and then got those jerseys, ;)

The X wrote:not a bad trade....it's probably a trade that would be more likely to occur if Bogut struggled mightily for a season or two, but nonetheless it is good to see Bogut back in Utah

Yeah man its unlikely cause he hasn't even playing for them yet, but thats why this is a video game, they are not too sophicated enough to judge players based on what they have done already and stuff.
btw seems like lots of guys are trading for bogut

nbalive744 wrote:great recaps and photos, there are so many, must be time consuming, good dynasty (Y)

yeah man, it does take a while. I think the total time it takes for me to play the game, get the pics, put em into photoshop to resize, cut, and edit them, as well as upload them (one by one.. damn you imageshack), and then write the recap, it takes a good 2 hours at least.
I think it might be worth it though because people are appreciating it.

hey guys, i got my laptop back today, much earlier than I thought, so I will most likely be able to play a game tomorrow, there is just no time tonight, I have to go to a lecture in like half an hour, and then gotta research and finish writing this History of China paper thingy. And I turn 18 on Saturday, so probably will be partying too hard to update, but we'll see.
