Simulation Result

Utah Jazz vs. Seattle Supersonics

The Utah Jazz had to travel to Seattle with a 9 man line-up to play against the Seattle Supersonics. The Jazz came out firing in the 1st quarter, outscoring the Supersonics 33-16 but in the 2nd quarter, the Supersonics came back to within 5 points at the half time break. The 3rd quarter once again belonged to the Sonics as they took a 1 point lead into the last quarter. The Jazz had no hope of coming back as Rashard Lewis was on fire all night and the Sonics ended up with the win with a score of 90 to 80. Player of the game was Rashard Lewis with 43 points and 8 rebounds. The best player for the Jazz was Mehmet Okur with 23 points and 10 rebounds.

Nestor Porter had just returned from Japan where he went to scout Asia's top prospect Christopher Nakamura and this is what he found out:

Christopher Nakamura is good at passing, has great defensive awareness and toughness but has weak shot blocking abilities and hasn't got much strength.

Utah seeks revenge as the Warriors come visit Salt Lake City


The Golden State Warriors travel to Salt Lake City to verse the Utah Jazz. The Jazz lost against the Warriors last time they met so the Jazz will hopefully use their homecourt to advantage.

1st Quarter

Both teams started off the game quite evenly but the Jazz had more motivation and they took a small lead. But some mistakes on the offensive end gave the Warriors some easy fast break points and the Jazz lost their lead. The Warriors managed to keep their lead as the Jazz began to use the Warriors' foul troubles to their advantage. The game became very tight as both teams went on a dunkfest which the fans enjoyed and Michael Dunleavy Jr. scored a buzzer beating lay-up to give the Warriors a 1 point advantage at the break.

2nd Quarter

The Jazz began to play sloppy defence and not smart offence as the Warriors began to break away. A timeout was called for the Jazz then the Jazz came back on and made a run. The Warriors still held onto their lead as this frustrated the Jazz. The Jazz kept attacking at the Warriors lead but they didn't take advantage of their chances as the Warriors still kept their lead. Then Andrei Kirilenko scored a tip-in from his own miss to give the Jazz a tiny lead. After the tip-in, AK47 went on a dunk frenzy but that was cut short by a Michael Dunleavy 3 pointer. Another Michael Dunleavy 3 pointer to beat the buzzer cut the Jazz lead to 1 point to end the half.

3rd Quarter

A third Warriors three pointer gave the Warriors back their lead. Some more sloppy defence and offence gave the Warriors a 7 point lead as the Jazz called a timeout. The Jazz began to comeback but Mickael Pietrus singlehandedly took over the game for the Warriors. The Warriors shot out to a double digit lead as Jerry Sloan called another timeout. The Jazz played absolutely CRAP in this quarter as the Warriors ended the quarter ahead 107-92.

4th Quarter

The Warriors kept their groove on as the Jazz got completely frustrated and it was over. The lead did get to 30 but the Jazz somehow cut it down a little as the Warriors finished the game, winning 138 to 113.

The Pacers travel to Salt Lake City to play against the Jazz



The Jazz host the Indiana Pacers for the Jazz' last game of the month. Andrei Kirilenko has fully recovered from his minor injury and should be fully effective in this game, even though he did score 40 points but he wasn't effective on defence.

1st Quarter

The Jazz started the game by making an 8-0 run as the home crowd was going crazy. The Jazz' only trouble was Okur was in foul trouble as the Jazz went out to a 16-3 lead. The Pacers then came back to reduce the deficit to 7 points but the Jazz were still holding strong. The Pacers made a comeback to 3 points but the Jazz scored 6 in a row to end the quarter ahead 30-21.

2nd Quarter

The Jazz continued their run as they started the quarter with a 9-3 run. The Jazz continued their dominance as Andrei Kirilenko was unstoppable again and the Jazz were playing exceptional defence. The Jazz finished the quarter ahead 55-41 as Andrei Kirilenko was a star, getting at least 1 in each stat category (the positive/main ones)

3rd Quarter

The Jazz continued their dominance in the 3rd quarter but both teams began to miss a lot of shots. The Pacers then went on a mini run, to cut the deficit to 12 points so the Jazz called a timeout to bring back in AK47 but the Jazz still made mistakes on offence. The Jazz struggled to keep their lead but they did as the quarter ended with the Jazz leading 79-72.

4th Quarter

The Pacers started the quarter by cutting the Jazz lead down to 4 points but the Jazz played some smart defence and put it back past 6 points. A Jamaal Tinsley 3 pointer cut the lead to 3 points but the Jazz put it back out as Matt Harpring got fouled out. The Jazz were running fastbreaks and stuff then AK47 jarred his back! He was out of the game then Mehmet Okur got fouled out. Ron Artest alley-ooped it to Jermaine O'Neal and that cut the deficit to a single point. The CJ Miles fouled out to make Ron Artest earn the lead from the charity stripe. He of course sunk both free throws and there went the Jazz lead. With 1:54 left on the clock, the Pacers held a 1 point lead so Jerry Sloan called a timeout. Ron Mercer went up for the lay-up and got fouled and scored both free throws to give back the lead to the Jazz. On the next play, Jamal Tinsley got around his defender but a charge was called as he knocked over Kris Humphries. Milt Palacio called for a pick and roll and he went around the pick and layed it in to give the Jazz a 3 point lead with 1:15 to go so the Pacers called a time out. Stephen Jackson scored the lay-up for the Pacers then Lorinza Harrington got bumped and missed his lay-up and it was Pacers' possession with 57.2 seconds to go. Jamal Tinsley scored the lay-up and the Jazz called the timeout. Lorinza Harrington went up for the lay-up but got rejected and the ball went out of bounds. They inbounded the ball and they eventually gave it to Ron Mercer and Greg Ostertag set the screen and Ron Mercer went around it and scored the lay-up with 34.3 seconds to go. Jermaine O'Neal had the ball and he nearly got it stolen but he scored the lay-up. Lorinza Harrington went up for another lay-up but got rejected by O'Neal. Ron Mercer went up for the lay-up and missed the adjusted shot and that was it for the Jazz as the Pacers won 100-99.

Yeah, that's a good idea... unless you want to win NOW.
But it could make a big difference whether you trade him now or only at the trade deadline, not only could it make a difference like a #3 or #7 spot, but (more appropriate in the Jazz' situation) make or miss the playoffs. To me it seems like he'll get injured a couple more times this season.
Don't want to push you into anything but I'd definately look into that. Try trading for Shawn Marion or maybe even AK+someone for Dirk+scrub.
