Finally my all-time favorite player has the chance to prove himself once again in the league. For him to dish the ball, bring it up the court and put the balls in his hand during crunchtime is a good idea. Of course he won't be guarding the other PG's on the opposing team, but I like this move. If he is getting paid all that money, at least see if he can still play some ball which I think he still can.

I think he'll do okay, he's gettin old too. But If I was GM.. I would start Nate and get him developed.

i thought penny was trading bait considering he is in his last year of his contract. Him and tim thomas

Thing is, who would want an aging player with a huge contract?

I TOTALLY disagree with you.
Larry Brown does not like young players. Simple as that. Penny is a veteran that knows the game. Marbury playing PG? No thanks. He'll do much better playing offense as a shooting guard and guarding the other team's PG. Besides Penny has size. Whether he is getting old or not, he is the right choice for the Knicks.

penny did get a triple double starting in phoenix.

but anyways, with that 3way trade falling through, where does crawford play?? offensively the 3, defensively the 2?

Tue Oct 04, 2005 3:00 pm

hes a bench player. back up SG/PG with Nate Robinson

Tue Oct 04, 2005 3:27 pm

He's almost gauranteed a starting spot now. Expect marbury to be playing the sg role on offense, with penny running the plays and bringing the ball up. on defense, marbury guards the point, penny the 2 man.

Ask the hornets after they delt Baron for Dale Davis. Or the Raptors after the dealt Vince Carter for nothing.

Some teams are just stupid :)

all of a sudden penny's the rite choice to start at the PG position cuz Larry Brown said so....it will be a miracle if he could make a come back like Grant Hill but i guess brown saw something in penny dat led him to dis decision

lets hope he makes Antonio McDyess like strides.

Penny starting??? What's next, Allan Houston playing PF???

I don't believe it. I'd love for Penny to be the old Penny, but I'll believe it when I see it.

This must be joke but I won't judge it just yet. Let's give Penny a chance.
I'd have it like so:

C- Curry
PF- Davis?
SF- Richardson
SG- Crawford
PG- Marbury
