Today I send to Alexboy the most accurated Alvin Williams, Reggie Evans and Bruce Bowen versions. In the next days i'm gonna to release very very good faces for people like Amaechi, Mark Bryant, Lavor Postell, Rick Brunson, Jerome Moiso and. probably, a realistic Kerry Kittles face version.

I see you are making many patches. This is good
Don't take this wrong, but can you slow down take some more time on patches and find a headshape that fits the player. Finding a correct headshape is half the patching process. No matter how good the face looks, without the correct headshape it won't look like the player. I have downloaded some of you're patches and most have just the default headshape; and that don't fit everyones face.
The players that have a smile and the teeth showing can be fixed by editing the headshape .bin file. I will send you a Reggie Evans preview so you know what i mean.

Most of the patches you are making are good, but have been made before, so if you want these to be used by NLSC members who have been around a while who already have patches of these players, then the patch you create has to be better than the previous one that had been created. If not then it's counter productive for the NBA Live community, because you could be creating some of the missing players instead.

How to edit headshape .bin files was on Eric Lin's resource page, but it's gone now. It doesn't work with all headshapes though, because they come out looking weird. The Reggie Evans came out real good. Alex i will send you a preview so you can see what i mean.

I prefer good faces, the smiling mouth or headshape are important, but I've downloaded so many patches with pretty headshape and scary faces (yours too, sorry )
The headshape is decisive, of course, for Iverson or Brian Grant, but not for,obviously, people like Bruce Bowen, Kittles, Shaq, Trepagnier or Reggie Evans .
If the original headshape is good, I don't spend my time working in a new one. If you want to make another headshape for any unoquepasa's files you can do it when you desire . These patches are yours, guy.
Personally, I work with missing players and, in special, players with old bad faces or not much realistic.

Since Eric Lin's HP is gone and you're one of the most prolific patchers maybe you could write a new one...

I'm trying to make some patches myself (most of jerseys) but most resources are gone and trial and error is the only tecnique left.
I didn't had the time to do a face patch yet but with a little help maybe I'll help you guys to keep Live 2000 alive.

Hey Alex I am trying to do some jersey's as well maybe we could team up and help each other out? I am new at this too. the faces are pretty easy but the .bin headshapes are harder to figure, I think 4*.bin is head shape, 3* is hair, 2* is mouth,face,eyes. but do not remember I just heard that somewhere?

Unoquepasa, anyone can create NBA Stars who have 20-25 photos to choose from, I could create a perfect Shaq or Kobe, but I don't because they have already been perfected, so why should I make a patch that is less than the one i have on my hard drive?
What I do is create Euro, NCAA or missing/Rookie NBA players who if you are lucky have one good photo to work with, if not; you have to compromise and use what they have, which in some cases is a blurry side view of a player. This is especially true for lesser known Euro players. So before you criticize one of my so called "scary" patches, why don't you search and see what photos this player has available before you talk! Don't you think there is a reason why a player would have a missing cyberface? because in the past when there were many people patching Live 2000, and they wouldn't or couldn't patch that player because there was no available photo. I have tried to fill the Gap that KQ and Smurly left when they stopped patching Live 2000; all they did was patch the players that others wouldn't. Some came out well and others alright, but everyone was grateful that the player had a face.
I have 68 Patches on Alexsite not including the National Team's patch, Logos or Arena's (24 NBA, 32 NCAA and 12 Euro), of the NBA faces almost all are missing players or 2002 Rookies, who had shitty photos to begin with, out of these I agree their are 4-5 "scary" ones, not a bad average when I could count 3 of you're patches on this page alone, that are "scary". Besides Bruce Bowen, Trepagnier and Alvin Williams I don't think any of the patches that you released in the last week are that good. Having a correct headshape and ugly face is still better than ugly face and no headshape; don't you agree. If you could make a better patch of any that i have on Alexsite, then I will have Alex remove that patch immediately.
When you are making a missing, Euro or NCAA player there is no EA headshape to work with, so I usually spend hours looking for a headshape that matches the nose and mouth, and then I spend many hours working with the shitty photo. I challenge you to make a better one of my "scary" patches, but then again that would be counter productive for the NLSC community, so why don't we see who could make a better missing player, say; Corsley Edwards. Then in the end weather mine or yours we will have something for everyone to enjoy????

This is not intended to start a flame war between me and you, because god knows Live 2000 needs as many patchers as we can get, but what rubbed me and I am sure a few others the wrong way, you have made a few faces and now you act like you are the patching God. Quote "better than the other face in Alexis site" Now this is disrespecting Myself, Alex, Davide Cocchi, T-Mac and anyone else who has ever put a patch on Alexsite. I have received many, many compliments, and not once have I come out and claimed to be a great patcher, because I know there are many things I can improve upon, and I know the pro's that used to patch Live 2000 Eric Lin, America West, Vinlex, Steve, KQ, Smurly and Gene to name a few they would put my work to shame. Most of you're patches still are not up to par. They are either blurry, teeth showing (makes two sets of teeth in game), not blended correctly and no headshape. Just leave it at this, unless of course you want to take my challenge above, then I will send you the photo I will use?

And I agree that His Hairness' Moiso cyberface is good but could also have been better...

Dear, David; if anybody express critics can receive critics too, my friend. You've made a very good job, but you've made any mistakes (like everybody). I never said nothing about your patches because I'm not a teacher. I support your work (with mistakes or bad faces too).
If you want give lessons, e-mail me, please, no post in a public forum . Your post is full up with critics and despective comments about me and my patches (patches never made before included like Trepagnier, Harrington, Bimbo, López, etc)

Alexboy (and not me) was the person who deleted Reggie Evan's cyberface from his web site, guy. I work with missing players and rookies too, but i like to make better faces for default players (look at the next Kerry Kittles version and give us,please, your proverbial opinion). People choose and download patches when they want to do it.
Alex, if you want to delete one, two, theree or all my patches from your site, you can do it; no problems. Virtual friends for ever .
I want to collaborate, I don't want any problems with anybody. I'm from Spain and I speak spanish. My english level is correct, no more. Both languages (english and spanish) are very different (scary controversy). The problem now, guy, es que yo escribo en ingles y tú, desgraciadamente, no creo que sepas mantener una conversación fluida (escrita o hablada) en español con nadie. If you can do it, you´ll understand why the things are so different when you write or speak in different languages.

I think what unoquepasa was trying to say at the end of his post was that since English is not his primary language some things he said he may not have meant in the way they came out, because ofcourse not being american he has not completely mastered English yet, so Dirt-dog you may be taking his comments out of proportion because he may not have meant for something to come out the way it did.

Also, you keep referring to headshapes etc....

There are no resources availible anywhere that teach us NEW guys anything, so maybe if you want us to release patches that have a better headshape you could write some tutorial up to show us how to edit headshapes/what the bin files stand for?

It really makes no sense to suggest we work on a headshape or something when you do not seem to be willing to help anyone out.

Gamewiz, How could you say that, when I try to reply to every post when someone needs help. I receive E-mails and I reply to them also. I have helped you on few different things before?
The .bin editing does not have to always be done, all you have to do is look for a head shape that fits, EA supplied hundreds of these, and if you can't find one then you try to edit the .bin files. I suggest not even trying this you should only mess with the .bin editing when you need to get rid of that smile or the hair is not higher or lower enough. It will ruin the patch unless done right. Eric Lin is the one who mastered this, that is why his patches were the best. He had two pages of info. On editing .bin file on his resource page, it requires Hex editing to do it.

Unoquepasa, as I stated before, I am not going to start a flame war over something like this. I have my points and you have yours. I just want to correct a couple of things. Moiso, Trepagnier and Coles are not missing players.

I didn't criticize anything until a pop shot was taken at me.

What are you talking about; when you say Alex deleted his Reggie Evans patch? I never said anything about that.

Let's just let this rest, so we don't ruin what's left of the Live 2000 community.

Okay, Unoquepasa, But please don't make the patch for me, make it for everybody. I know of two Jerome Moiso patches, the one by KQ was incredible.

well, first of all i'm glad to see an argument finishing like that When I see that I think that Live 2000 community is nice with responsible people. Arguments on other section on the NLSC are still locked because the argument grows to insults, and that's good there were no childish behavior here

I also want to add that like unoquepasa, I have some problem of understanding as I don't master english like I would like to

About deleting my Reggie Evans patch, well, the unoquepasa one was far better. It's the second time I think I remove an old patch for a newer one that was incontestably better. There's one exception, Jannero Pargo, I didn't removed mine when Dirtdog1-David released his version because even if they were different they were both good I think so I let the user choose (personnally I prefer the Dirtdog1 version)

all of your patchs are nice, they of course still can be improved but we can be happy to see Live 2000 still so up to date and accurate
