Yeah...the debate isn't whether the Lakers would want to do it, it's whether the Timberwolves are even considering it. Which is a no.

This topic is makin me sick cuz I hate the Lakers. That would be my worst nightmare.lol.The Wolvez would have to be on drugs to give up KG.KG need to do a Shaq and take a paycut for the team.Whats up Riot, havent talked to you in a while

Just a little update, I have been told the KG deal is almost dead, but it is NOT the Wolves said: "no way, we are not going to give up KG whatsoever", Wolves just simply wanted too much, since Curry will sign the QO with Bulls shortly, it will be hard to find a 3rd team involved, so basically if Lakers wanted KG, they would have to trade with Wolves straight up, Wolves wanted odom, Mihm, Kwame, DG, Brynum, Buss said no, no Brynum, and Wolves said no Brynum no deal...
Riot, twolvezfanfoever, and most of you were all thinking there will be no way for Wolves(actually, this is the deal between Buss and Wolves' owner, no GM) to trade KG, but guess what, it is Buss who said no... Also, just because KG said he wants to play for Minny till he retires didnt mean anything just like Shaq said he will retire as a Laker, Karl said he will retire as a Jazz man.
but, there still is a possiblity that KG will end up in LA, that is why both teams are STILL looking for a 3rd and 4th teams to involve in this blockbuster trade,, if no team is willing to join, then there will just be a sign-trade between LA and Minny for Spree(as you all know already)..
There have been some serious talk between these 2 teams about KG,
That was the truth, you can question me, but not to my source! My source also told me if Lakers are not in the top 5 seeds in the west by the trade deadline, Buss will be willing to deal Brynum along with the players I mentioned above for KG.

the bulls have taken pretty much every precaution to ensure curry is healthy. the team that's been monitoring him the closest is even hesistant on about letting him play (on a 1yr contract no less). you're an even bigger idiot then i thought if you think another team is going to trade for curry at this point.

funny thing is that he is cleared to play in LA, he did a test in LA, and the doctor said yes, he can play, bulls were shopping aournd Curry all summer long, that was part of the reason why they havent signed him, of course a big reason was his heart

Why dont we just lock this topic and ban ntong for being incredibly stupid?
Plus your contradicting yourself.. you said Wolves said no Bynum no trade but then in the next sentence you said it was Jerry Buss that pulled the plug on the trade. Its out-right laughable that Jerry Buss would pull out on the deal on KG just because the Wolves wanted a Bynum who's prospects arn't that bright hahaha..unbelievable!
Plus who is your so called "source". I bet it's some guy you talk to on the bus every day to school or work (actually I doubt your intellect is high enough to do either of those) so maybe your "source" is your brother or mum or something :?

what the hell do you mean "I have been told"?? did you actually talk to the GM or the Owner of the wolves? Stop dreaming and just admit that you were wrong. You made a little gossip into a huge 3 page thread about how you are 50% sure this trade will happen even though you had no real evidence except an article from hoopsworld.
This thread needs to get locked.

Find me a link where the Wolves offered Garnett in a trade. I dare you. You are pulling so much shit out of your ass it's hilarious.

Maybe you mean Michael Olowokandi? Because the Timberwolves are shopping him and the Lakers are interested in him but talks have stalled because the Wolves wanted too much for Olowokandi.

Lol, if you can give us a legit link or quote from Timberwolves management or a legit website or newspaper you will not be trusted. The Timberwolves are not shopping Kevin Garnett. At all. End of the story. It hasn't even entered their minds.

You seem to under estimate the loyalty factor and the best player in the world factor. Get over it. You aren't getting Garnett, you were proved wrong and now you are making up this shit to try and save yourself. I don't think one word you have said has been true.

I read an article on ESPN where Phil says that Odom is going to be a superstar and he has even brought in Pippen to mentor Odom and turn him into the type of player he was. Even though I would love for KG to come to Cali I highly doubt Phil would go through all this as well as the Lakers organization if they were gonna shop Odom. Spree is still a possiblity though

Fri Sep 30, 2005 3:53 pm

and what did Phil say about Caron Butler before he got traded? he said something about playing him at the point and how versatile the guy was and still got traded.... for someone who's been the biggest bust taken first overall..... so far....

Caron Butler a bust? Are you mentally ill or something? Last time I remember he had a rock solid rookie year, but he had an injury-plagued sophomore season. His third season was pretty good, and he really stepped up his performance when Lamar Odom was injured. How the hell did you manage to think up that he was a bust?

Sat Oct 01, 2005 12:38 am

He was talking about Kwame Brown

Sat Oct 01, 2005 12:48 am

Butler wasn't even taken first.

Oops. That was just bad reading on my part. I posted that in the morning, so I wasn't really awake anyway.

Pft... Yeah, like that's an excuse that people will accept.

So ntong...now it's down to, let's say...75%? :?

I hate to bring my Simpsons quotes to NBA Talk, but I just thought of the perfect one.

This may be off topic, well actually its way off topic but.....Andrew your avatar freaks me out whenever I see it. I'm a Conan fan, his show is better than Leno's if you ask me. But its just that look he has in that pic, spooky.

Back on topic. You guys are right he did say good things about Caron before he was traded. They needed Odom to be the point-forward so Caron was the next best piece to trade for a big man. He not only likes Odom's versatility but he even brought in Pippen to help him like he did with Kareem for Bynum/Kwame. I think Phil is on the right track. I think we are going to make to at least the second round this year, probably not more than that though. I have faith in my team

Put an end to those fantasies because Knick just landed Curry. It's up on the official site of the Bulls. I wonder if Isiah overpaid.

Tue Oct 04, 2005 11:06 am

lol, so much for Jerome James being able to prove his worth.

WOWOWOWOOWOOWOWOWOW
