Well, Flip never really got that many minutes last season (and that sucks because I'm a huge Murray fan), so I guess they were a little hesitant on giving him a contract or maybe they wanted to wait and see if any teams were bidding on him instead of just going out there and offering a contract.

I would guess he thought he deserved to start, but he wouldn't be getting that in Seattle, so he might have waited for better offers...
Even though he's good enough to start, he'll still be seeing limited numbers in Seattle this, even less than in the last years, because Allen is the most important player, and Ridnour has proved he can lead the team, as a PG, so there will be only short visits on the floor for Flip this year.

He had like a 2 week period where he killed everyone. Ever since then, he has been talked about as if he is even an NBA caliber player, which he isn't.
