Ok. So some Boston news and changes, even though I don't know their in-game stats it might be of some help.
- Tony Allen: Supposedly DA wants him to play the point this year. Yes, it's crazy considering the glut of pointguards but DA thinks he can pull it off. So, Pg as a secondary position?
Also TA's handles is usually underestimated, he handles the ball very well and his jumpshot has improved during the summer.
(Seriously, that would make it 6 pointguards under 28 and minutes to be shared each game between Dickau/West/Banks/Allen. Crazy.)
- Gerald Green: Bad news for those of us who wanted him to see limited minutes this year. DA thinks he's been choached badly and finds him limited offensivly and very raw defensivly. As I said in some earlier post, his def.awareness and off.awareness is low while he has a nice jumpshot with range and is an athletic freak. Also he should probably be a SG/SG and not a SG/SF.
- Al Jefferson: Big, bigger, AlJeff. Added a lot of muscle during the summer, and even though he seemed lost in the SL - report indicate that he has a game on par for 30 mins a night. So his stamina atleast should reflect that.
- Ryan Gomes: Some people (DA) have indicated that PP might play SG this year. With Davies off the bench (might explain TA's move to PG). The reason is supposedly that Doc wants to play with a "power 3", which is either Scalabrine (PF/SF), Reed (SF/SF) or Gomes (SF/PF). Don't underestimate Gomes, he could be in the starting 5 opening night. Both DA and Doc likes the guy, and he has solid skills. Good shooting, good rebounding, good post-play, and pretty fast on his feet.
- Delonte West: Has been working the pick-and-roll all summer long, and has supposedly really upped his offensive Bball-IQ.
- Paul Pierce: Hard to say now if he'll play as a SG/SF or a SF/SG. But worth keeping in mind.
Might add more later on.
