And ntong, get your facts straight. KG was not the first player drafted straight out of high school.

KG was the first person drafted out of HS for 20 years. Spencer Haywood was the first HS player drafted...I think..well he changed the age limit back to 18 anyhow. He might have just been the first early entry...

The "two way no trade clause" means even if Garnett waives his no trade clause, the Timberwolves still have to waive there no trade clause.

Vlade has "retired" at least three times this summer. He is expected to retire again on Sept. 30 when he is officially bought out of his option year. I guess he's trying to pull an MJ and retire in dramatic fashion several times, but it just ain't the same. Vlade's had a good career and should stop retiring!

...but he COULD be traded if both parties agreed, right?

If this trade takes place, it must be a 3 way deal,
Wolves get
Odom, Curry(sign& trade by bulls), throw ins
Bulls get
Mihm, Wally maybe?, throw ins
Lakers get
KG

here is the new lineup for Wolves:
PG: Hudson
SG: McCants
SF: Hassell?/Lamar
PF: Lamar/Griffin
C: Curry/Kandi

That is a solid lineup in terms of talent and youth for a rebuilding team, if McHale plays his card right, this team can turn into title contenders in a few years.
Bulls get Mihm, the inside defense they lacked in the playoff run last season, Wally can give bulls the offense they need, with Deng coming off from the bench. Remeber, bulls will not get anything in return if they dont trade Curry now, he will walk after next seaon.
Lakers get KG!!!

How do you think about that, huh?? Great for all 3 teams

Actually, there is no chance this trade happens so it's actually 0%.

We've heard these rumors before and none of the make sense. Why trade one of the best players in league history in his prime and get that stuff back in return?

And you forgot one key detail, Garnett doesn't want to be traded. If he did, he would have demanded it by now. He wouldn't demand a trade a month before training camps open.

How do you know for sure KG doesnt want to be traded? He knows he can win nothing at Minny, he knows he getting older. Here's why I think KG did not go public about demanding a trade: if his demand went public, every Wolves fan will go crazy, so he was told by the Minny org to keep silent, KG has been loyal to the Wolves for years, Minny's owner probablly just granted KG's wish of playing along side with Kobe, just like what happened to Shaq, Shaq gave Lakers 3 rings, so when he wants opt out, Lakers just let him go to the team he wished... Lakers could got better players like Ron Artest, Wade, Lebron back in retrun, but they did not.
Minny is a middle market team, they cant afford to have 2 superstars, they may just want to be like pistons, no real starts, but many decent players

He doesnt want to be traded. Done Deal. He doesnt have that kinda negative attitude against his team. Thinkin he wont win jack. It's hard to win a championship but i believe he will get one before he retires but not with the lakers. I know you a loyal laker fan but c'mon, dont say garnett a laker blah blah blah. Also they wanted Wade in that trade for Shaq but Miami declined and there is no way Bron will be traded in his rookie year for anyone. Artest souns believable but thats the past. By the way where did you here this trade or did you make it up.

I've heard all the sources before. Laker fans think they can get anyone they want without dealing anyone in return.

Garnett didn't go public because he doesn't want to be traded! Get it through your thick skull. If Garnett demanded a trade he would have been dealt by now so the team could build the team around the new roster. But that didn't happen and they built a team around Garnett this summer.

While it is unlikely that Garnett will be traded in his prime, it has happened to Kareem A-J, Wilt C, and Shaq is on his third team. 13-year sonic gary payton is on team number five, that's right gary is on his fifth team.

He has played for 4 different teams in the past 3 seasons. He's just trying to get a ring now that he's too old to lead a team like he did in Seattle.

Man ... THINK

He means that Minnesota Organization brought new people like Jaric, McCants etc. to Minnesota to build around Kevin Garnett during this off-season this summer.

Are they decent players that can give KG a ring???????
The gave up the veterans for god sake, and you call that building around KG?? That's the weakest argument I have ever seen. If they brought someone like Finely in, I will be with you all too,,and GP was a free agent the whole summer, they didnt even give him a shot,, but the truth is , Minny didnt do shit this summer to make KG happy...

I dont know why you guys just think it's impossible for Minny to trade KG, think about this:
Minny is capped out until the 09/10 season and KG will be 34 at that point. Kandi walks at the end of this season and they'll only have the MLE to get a new center (unless someone takes on some of their awful contracts). So yeah, KG is going to have to carry them from now until the end of his career (b/c you're not going to get impact help for Wally or Hudson), and yes, you're right, he's going to start breaking down with a couple more seasons like that.

In that light, it makes sense to trade KG now because otherwise they're going to be capped out and struggling to make the playoffs for the next 4 seasons (probably won't make them), but KG keeps them good enough to be a borderline .500 team, so they never get impact in the draft either. No chance to improve until summer of 2009 and they'll have to start from scratch then.

i know you think this could happen but i honestly can't remember the last time "hoopsworld" has been right about a "potential trade." They've had lots of rumors but almost all of them never happened. Given the reputation, i'm gonna have to say this is just one of those rumors.

Trading KG may give the T-Wolves some cap space for the future(4years), but i think rebuilding the team without KG will take more than 4 years. KG is one of those once in every 10 years type of player. It'll be very difficult to replace a player like him.

But who knows, this might just be one of the rumor that hoopsworld gets right.
