One question fitzy and kmartin.
Are the jerseys good up close or do they need a 2x patch like in 05?

ok, now that you're here, i want to ask this question again:

Hey, do the players actually try to attempt to get open now? Not like a soft running bump into your defender then take 2-5 steps back and not be open lol?

I use the raptors and they had a lot of their offensive success by having picks set for certain players off the ball, giving them room and space to either take a wide open shot or take it in. It's really been frustrating to try to get an open man going this year and I hope they have it in the next version.

Everything seems sort of cartoony, well maybe it just seems that way after the shining players of 2005, umm, i dunno what to say, the jerseys look ok.

Here's an upclose pic of the bulls uniform, i dunno if its what you want.

Well.....anyone else try to go on the net? A weird guy was babbling that live 06 wasn't gonna be online for pc this year. That would be really REALLY STUPID. I don't know where people get these ideas.

All of the same options for online in 05 are still in 06, the menu's are exactly the same with the exact same options, but you cannot save stats, which sucks for online leagues.

 well thats not much of an offensive strategy ...i would've liked for the CPU controlled players on offense be more intelligent. Like trying to fake out their defender for an open look. That's what I feel is missing in NBA Live to give it that full immersive feeling to it. Since players from 05 just either hold their hand out to you which does nothing since if you catch the ball and shoot, you either get blocked or missed shot (its just how the sliders currently work).

The new passing system seems dodgy at first but im getting used to it now i think, it seems alot easier to score inside with your smaller guys, in 05 you'd just get the shit blocked out of you, just finished playing a 3min qtr game where nash got 26pts 10 of em would have been inside stuff.

ok now for hte controversial question...having played this and seeing videos from ESPN NBA 2k6...would you say this has been a much more improved 06 from last year? and is it better or sub par in comparison with 2k6's vids? just be a little open minded for now, im not trying to promote 2k basketblal, just trying to explore my options...i liked the NBA live 2006 vids better than 2k6 but i liked 2k5 than this years nba live 2005

- flame suit on

okay do you mean the freestyle passing of nash? or the overal passing? is the icon pass (Direct pass) still the same or is that the system you were talking about?

and that really sucks if nash can score easy inside. I dont care if he is MVP or not......if he would go up against a ood shot blocker he would get swatted 7 out of 10 times.

I personally didn't have a problem with the blocks in 2005. there are ways around blocks........you just have to get to know thegame more. I don't think the better players in 2005 get blocked in 1 on 1 situations even if it is a good shot blocker. But hey...now people can just take Wade, Baron Davis or Francis and spin their way inside and jam.

Well, sometimes I'd like to play off ball on defense controlling another player. And Jumaine Jones would stuff the shit out of... Vince Carter, Jason Richardson etc... with blocks at 0. So, basically, in your face J's in 05 = block or miss.
