one of the few sites that is already doing team previews (alphabetically).

i found it peculiar that the writer thinks bogut will disappoint (says hakim warrick will post better #'s then him) and that Bucks will finish 11th

i think the teams that have already been done are archived

lebron :D

but its hard to put the bust label on him already. This is the center postion and that is the weakess position in terms of talent so he won't have a problem many centers. Only a few like Shaq and Yao poses a problem.

I think it's a knee-jerk reaction that goes beyond the Big White Stiff prediction. I think he if was American the reaction would be different, with more favourable comparisons being made. Instead, it comes back to Luc Longley who had his moments and was solid in the right system, but isn't the kind of player you'd want with the 7th pick of the draft.

It was 15/9. His coach told him to get a feel for the game and his opponents, didn't tell him to score, rebound etc... add to the fact that the team virtually didn't run an offence, and the guards were Reece Gaines and Kirk Penney. Either way, we'll see how he does.

Add in the fact to Jae's points, that one game went down the game due to ejection which would have taken is averages down.

I'm looking for Bogut to register 18/8 for the season. I would call that a success.

I don't really think he'll get 18/8, if he does I'll be pleasantly surprised. If anything, I think he'd be disappointed to only avg 8 boards a game.

With Redd and Mason on the team, don't expect Bogut to score that many points. I think 15 points and 8 rebounds sounds reasonable in his rookie year.

Mason isn't really a scorer, he's working on his jumpshot though. But right now I'd name Redd and Simmons as the top 2 scoring options on the Bucks.

only a few big men have come into the league and averaged at least 15pts in their rookie year. okafor did it too but he was the #1 option on an expansion team and shot only 44.7%

True, but Bogut will get many assists!!! (Y)
I'd expect him to average double figures in rebounds because of the shooters (Redd, Mason, Simmons) that surround him.

Well, I don't see him averaging rebounds in double digits... I see him succeeding more in the points and assists departments...

I do think his sophomore season will be a bigger success than his rookie season.
