Gotta love Marv Albert's blank stare and slight emotion going, "Yesssssss" after Jordan hits a clutch jumper in the NBA Finals.

He's not an analyst, he's a commentator.

Neither is Steve Kerr. Why are people listing commentators when we're talking about analysts?

i thought marv albert is a play-by-play guy...

actually most 'color' guys serve as the nba analyst on tv broadcasts. they are the ones that give their insight, opinions, etc while the play-by-play guy by definition is supposed to relay the actual action to the audience

Analysts for that particular game. However, they are considered color commentators. Analysts are the guys in the studio who break down games and teams.

color commentators/analysts- they are doing the same job. giving analysis only on one game doesn't make a color guy any less of a nba analyst

Just because he analyzes the game doesn't make him an "analyst". Did I just blow your fucking mind or what?
