Denver to sign Watson?

I've read some other rumors that Watson and Denver are close to reaching a deal. I don't understand why Denver wants Watson if they have Miller and Boykins already.

And does this mean Sprewell needs to find another team to go to? They have too many guards now it seems if they sign Sprewell.

Denver is making noise this offseason, but I really don't see them improving their team too much.

How are they making noise? These are the first moves they made. They wanted Jaric but they decided to wait on Mobley. They wanted Mobley but they decided to wait on Finley. And then Finley blows them off without even meeting with them. They are down to their option #4 and 5 it seems.

All I'm saying is that they seem to be in talks with every free agent on the market. There have been a lot of Denver rumors this offseason, and nothing has gotten done.

I meant making noise as in... literally making noise. Not signing free agents.

Interesting, they already have Boykins and Miller, so this doesn't make much sense. Miller can also play the 2, but their aren't available minutes at the 2, so I don't understand this move. They'll have a logjam at PG.

Miller, Kmart and Francisco Elson for KG.

Wasn't Denver gonna sign Sprewell with their MLE? Anyway, maybe Watson's just trying to generate some interest from other teams. I don't know why he would want to go to Denver, considering that he was looking for a guaranteed starting job, which Denver obviously doesn't have for him.

They said Sprewell and Denver were "very interested" in each other but nothing has been final (I don't even think they have talked contract yet). I know they re-signed Bucker and Johnson so space for Sprewell won't be there for long.

As for where Watson will fit, I heard they are trying to ship out Boykins.

yeah and Carmelo Anthony will play center. :eh:

I think Dre's on his way out, Mighty Earl is popular with the crowds and is a good personality to have around although I do think he should be the one traded in this scenario. I have a feeling the Nuggets might try and go for Paul Pierce even though it'll be hard to execute or they'll send Dre and someone else possibly for a shooting guard, I have a feeling the Hawks might work a deal with the Nuggets if Dre's put on the block.

I dont get the point of the signing though, specially if they dont trade Dre or Earl away.

By the way its official now, DerMarr and Buckner stay aswell.

They got the PG position on lock already , unless they are planning to play Miller at SG more often . They don't need watson .

again if they sign Watson this team will be overloaded at point guard slots. (miller, watson, boykins) well i think if they hire him andre miller will be forced to slide down at shooting guard position.
