The Lakers had chemistry problems before Payton and Malone arrived , but the Spurs don't have any true problem with chemistry at all.so there is also a big difference with that too.

You've got to admit, it's 70% similar and 30% different. Seriously, there should be at least some criticism, or else I'm going to shoot Bucher twice or something. Or perform a voodoo curse, if I knew how to.

when the spurs win another championship ill be happy... but not as happy as last season's-because this year has much more depth.

this is going to be an exciting/great year in San Antonio. im estimating at least 65 wins if duncan doesnt get injured. perfect fit for finely on this team... just the type of scorer that they needed. (not that barry wasnt the perfect fit last year at this time-he just didnt cut it) i dont think that bowen will not start. bowen will start because of his lockdown on the scorers... but look for finely to play more toward the end of games. popavich has quite a job ahead of him though-hes gotta find playing time for a lotta people. van exel, finely, barry, horry, fabrico, and udrih.

-i guess this means that devin brown is gone... what a shame-quite the player.

Spurs should sign Malone. I'm sure Karl can go for 5 minutes a game.

Oh. My. God.

Wtf, the Spurs are already good, but this is insane. It'd be nice if they can mesh really well and break the Bulls' win record. Partial  partial  hmm....

Malone and Stockton should make comebacks just for kicks.

Miami has had real compition for the last month since they did there trade, Detroit who beat them in the EC finals and Indy who i think swept or took 3/4 head to head from them in the regular season. Its gonna be Detroit or Indiana versus San Antone for the chip.

I feel sorry for the teams who have been rebuilding and worked toward a win now scenario in a time where we have the 2 most stacked teams since the Lakers & the Celtics of the 80s.. it wouldn't have been so bad if they were both in the same conference

the spurs have a high 70s average overall rating in Live @ the 2 guard now.. ridiculous

I guess the Spurs and the Suns will switch rankings this year. Could the Spurs possibly win 70 games this year? I'd like to see a team accomplish that.

Damn the Spurs are even stronger than last season, with the addition of Finley and Van Exel. They can certainly defend their title. As for the Spurs to win 70 games this season. I don't think they can win that many but probably around 65 wins is reasonable.

Oh my god, I agree with a Pistons fan!!!

I don't think this signing makes San Antonio that much better to be honest. I think Van Exel actually hurts the team, because he's a guy who shoots a lot. He's a good player on bad team type player at his age. Fin is still a decent player, but I don't think he's going to come off the bench and score 20 points like some people are implying.

I still think Indiana, Detroit, Houston and Miami all match up to San Antonio well.
