Crap, I guess I'll take the soda  Thanks for the shoutout and congrats on the 2500, for some reason I like that number as far as celebrations go

I can't believe I forgot to include Andreas Dahl in mods  I guess you do your good work too well, as you always slide through unnoticed....you can grab one of the other guy's  if you want

quick notes....
- Jackal, nice smileys, I see you got into the festive mood too :P
- Weaver, as for the best man call, I know the gf would luv that, but there is no need to rush a good thing....and besides, my older bro probably already has the job locked in....there might be an opening for page boy or flower girl though
- Fender, I try to keep the younger involved whenever I can....
- Jae, one of the top 10 aye? and here was me thinking that there were only 7 or 8 regular posters around here, guess I made it in by default
- cyanide, what my gf doesn't know won't hurt her  and besides, I have a new strategy....drink less volume but higher alcohol %....quite a smart ploy if I say so myself

as for all the rest, cheers guys....and if you can't handle a  , then a whiskey, bourbon, vodka, ouzo, etc is always on offer....

That's exactly what I do. I say, ah fuck beer, get me a couple shots of vodka. If drinking is to get drunk, might as well do it the quick way and save some money

despite belief to the contrary, I am not a huge beer drinker....I enjoy a good beer, especially on a hot day or if it's an Irish beer, but I'm a spirits man....luv my scotch, bourbons, vodkas and so on....when I said higher %, I didn't mean drinking spirits instead of beers....I actually meant drinking higher proof spirits instead of normal proof spirits....so if I'm drinking a RTD (Ready To Drink) that is 8% or 9% alcohol content then that's about 2.5 to 3 standard drinks per can....I just need about 4 or 5 of those and I'm good for a casual night, and it looks like I'm not drinking that much....gf thinks it's like 4 or 5 drinks, when it's actually more like 12 or so drinks

but the big event is in a week and a half, XFest 2.5....it's the 3rd XFest there has been and it's always a big night....bbq, booze, family, mates, girls, etc all having a good time....I think I'll crack the bottle of Maker's Mark that I have in the cupboard for this one :D this big night should keep me going until my mate Lunk has his Annual Shingdig in November, which is in it's 5th year I believe....even bigger than XFest....

you never know, I could make a Goran-like wildcard run....

but seriously, I've always liked tennis and been alright at it....a mate use to play and he's good and we both wanted to get back into it....it also helps that my boss is a mad tennis fanatic (he use to be very good when he was younger and could still whoop my ass now even though he's like 60) and has given me a $300 tennis racquet (it's almost like brand new, but it's his 3rd racquet that he wasn't using) and unlimited tennis balls (he buys a new tin of pro-level tennis balls every game)....and if I feel like a break from work for half an hour I just ask the boss how his last tennis game went and it'll go from there  besides, it's good exercise and I enjoy the competition....get the competitive juices flowing....

and Sit, as for James Blake, I think maybe it's because he's mixed race, has dreads and probably looks a little like that Eddy guy off Tekken....

Congrats on 2500 and thanks for the kind words, much appreciated. (Y) For the record, those will all be New because I don't really care for XXXX (or Red Bitter for that matter. You know it's bad when you've had enough to drink pretty much anything but still can't stand it).

I'd have to agree with you there....not really a fan of XXXX (despite it having a lot of X's in the name)....and Toohey's New is probably one of the Aussie beers I get most often off the tap as well :D

for anyone who cares or if you are in NZ, make sure you try a Flame....one of the best and most underrated NZ beer....

and talking about bad beers, never drink Retsch's....that foreign beer is horrible....I was well oiled and it still tasted terrible....I was at a bbq and some guy and bought like a carton but he couldn't get rid of them so as I had run out, I took him up on the offer....managed to stomach 3....big mistake  never again....
