who do you think the lakers need to get a better team..

I am thinking they need to sign Nick Van exel so he can carry the ball up court and give everyone the ball not only Kobe.

LOL...the lakers play in the triangle (Phils choice), they dont need a pass first PG since the PG usually just ends up standing on the three point line waiting for the ball. Thats why Payton didnt prosper in the triangle but players like Fisher & Kerr did.

I'm really hoping that Kwane is working his ass off this offseason so he can prove to the world that he aint the biggest bust picked first overall.

Kobe should perform much much better since this will be his second season without Shaq, so now he knows what to do.

Lamar Odom will blossom once again at his natural position SF, so I'm expecting him to do big things for the Lakers and quit being so passive minded.

I'm so happy that Brian Grant is out.

Being in the playoff is not out of reach, if Kobe and Lamar developed a good chemistry and Kwane plays up to his full potential.

can i ask why you call him kwane??

anyway, i really believe that the lakers should make the playoffs this season. i think that kwame will work hard and prove that he isn't a bust, he just needed a fresh start. he wasn't going to achieve anything in washington.

LOL, and the lakers do not need another guard that dribbles the ball too much and needs the ball to be effective. Van Exel is not a spot up shooter, he creates his own shots and he usually goes out of control.

Thats why Payton didnt prosper in the triangle but players like Fisher & Kerr did.

Payton did not prosper in the triangle because he needed the ball to be effective, does that remind you of a certain player waived by the blazers?

Fisher and Kerr are spot up shooters, Van Exel is not one.

Oh and who the hell is Kwane? :?

you guys are queers for overexagerating a simple spelling mistake like that.. losers

anyways, im hoping derek anderson signs annd be able to play point for us. don get how DA wouldn wan LA, especially with a starting job.

if kwame really is 7'0 270, we'll see how well he'll be able to use that in a game. i don wanna see LO back in the post..

chris mihm better get back to his early season success. he hasn't lost that "stiffy" label yet and we need him to show off more of that athleticism.

is sasha EVER going to play point? he'd be ideal for PJ's triangle (6'7 205?). unfortunately, he's never gotten to prove that he can play point this summer yet and i believe he backed up kobe most of last year. i thought we drafted this guy to be a tall PG, not a backup SG. PJ should realize that this kids got potential (even though i haven't seen any of it yet.. damn lack of exposure last year) and i hope he utilizes him more in games, with the "rookie embargo" on sasha is gone.

please get bynum to be more of a power player.. he's got some moves, but they're all soft. i like the fact that he's adding to his game, but he should utilize his size and athleticism early on until his baby hooks and drop step layins come into full form.

smush parker is slated to be our starting PG right? didn't he lead the league in TOs/48 minutes? CRAP, lets hope that summer session wasn't a fluke.

let's hope that jumaine jones last year wasn't a fluke. i enjoyed rooting for him. as for walton, hope for him to succeed now that he knows he will get played alot.

and what the hell, i want SLAVA!! reppin' the softies with his good jumpshot (which i hope has improved). i know he'll never get stronger, but i hope he holds his own next year to let PJ no this guy was averagin 15 ppg for us when everyone else was down.

PG- DA PLEASE!!
SG- KOBE
SF- LO
PF- KWAME
C- MIHM

pretty good lookin lineup imo. bench is shoddy of course..

Don't worry, it is ok............
I only mentioned it because he has consistently said Kwane. It isn't as if it was a mistake, I was simply pointing out that it isn't spelt that way.
It isn't the end of the world mate and it certainly doesn't make me queer.

I think Mhim can become quite a good C if only he would perform consistently. He had some great games last season, but then again he had some poor ones as well. I think playing under Phil will improve his focus and consistency. I can't see Bynum starting without some major injuries happening however if he shows consistency and puts in some solid performances, then who knows?

Wrong. He plyed PG last year.

PJ should realize that this kids got potential (even though i haven't seen any of it yet.. damn lack of exposure last year)

How can you say he has potential when you havent seen any of it? :?
Players with potential show signs, Sasha has shown nothing even in the SPL. (Y)

and what the hell, i want SLAVA!!

You are queer.

but i hope he holds his own next year to let PJ no this guy was averagin 15 ppg for us when everyone else was down.

Im pretty sure PJ knows about his players stats.

As long as Kobe is taking 30 shots per game it just won't work... Period.

As long as Kobe keeps hogging the ball to himself this will not work.

Lakers are not going to go to play-offs... I'd be surprised to see them there. They don't have anyone besides Kobe and he's got such a big head now that it wouldn't matter who he played with, cause he only plays with himself. Other guys are just in the way...

It took Shaq and Phil to give up the ball to the big guy every once in a while, now that Kobe doesn't have that "second option" he's going to take all the shots he can think of getting off before even thinking about giving it up.

Kobe hasn't figured out why Jordan was as succesful as he was... Jordan always knew that he can't handle the ball 50 minutes of a 48 minute game... Kobe thinks he can. What Jordan did, was that he was more of a play-maker and team player through the first three quarters and took over in the fourth if he had to. Yes, he did score alot in the first three too, but he was playing it more for the team...

If Kobe has not learned anything from last season, well you can kiss LALs chances for the play-offs good bye...

WTF are you yapping on about? Kobe averaged 20.1 shot attempts per game.

As long as Kobe keeps hogging the ball to himself this will not work.

Let's go to the facts:
In 02-03, Kobe shot 23.5 attempts per game, 20 the year before that and 22 the season before that one.

Kobe didnt do anything different last season, the only problem was he had an inferior supporting cast. Kobe was "hogging" the ball back when they were winning championships, Kobe is "hogging" the ball now. Dont put the blame on Kobe. (N)

Lakers are not going to go to play-offs... I'd be surprised to see them there. They don't have anyone besides Kobe and he's got such a big head now that it wouldn't matter who he played with, cause he only plays with himself. Other guys are just in the way...

Pure speculation from someone with inadequate knowledge on the lakers and Kobe Bryant.

It took Shaq and Phil to give up the ball to the big guy every once in a while, now that Kobe doesn't have that "second option" he's going to take all the shots he can think of getting off before even thinking about giving it up.

It took Shaq to give up the ball to Shaq? :?

Kobe has that second option, Lamar Odom anyone?

Kobe hasn't figured out why Jordan was as succesful as he was... Jordan always knew that he can't handle the ball 50 minutes of a 48 minute game... Kobe thinks he can. What Jordan did, was that he was more of a play-maker and team player through the first three quarters and took over in the fourth if he had to. Yes, he did score alot in the first three too, but he was playing it more for the team...

How was Michael in the Bulls in the late 1980's? How long did it take Michael to win his first championship? How long has been Kobe playing as the main man in LA?

Translation: I aint going to argue with The Game because he posts facts while i posts stupid opinions. I cannot discuss in an intelligent and civil manner and i have to post an alibi because i am dumb. Once i again, i have no facts and know nothing about the lakers, therefore i aint going to argue with the game. (Y) (Y) (Y)
