And as for Busta, he's so slept on. Genesis was a hot ass album but nobody acknowledges it, kinda messed up. Hopefully Dre's beats gets some people's attention.
lyrics themselves dont make a great album
You do realize that Banner has produced some huge hits and some hot tracks over the years, right? He gets no recognition 'cause Lil' Jon, Storch, Kanye, etc. all over the game but he still produces hot tracks.

I already got Kanye's new album:
1. Wake Up Mr. West
2. Heard Em' Say
3. Touch the Sky
4. Gold Digger (ft. Jamie Foxx)
5. Skit #1
6. Drive Slow (ft. Paul Wall)
7. My Way Home (ft. Common)
8. Crack Music (ft. The Game)
9. Roses
10. Bring Me Down (ft. Brandy)
11. Addiction
12. Skit #2
13. Diamonds (Remix) (ft. Jay-Z)
14. We Major (ft. Nas)
15. Skit #3
16. Hey Mama
17. Celebration
18. Skit #4
19. Gone (ft. Consequence and Cam'ron)
20. Diamonds
21. Late
It's a little better than College Dropout IMO, not that much better though. I know for a fact that the album isn't bad though. We Major is very tight, the way the song cuts off in the middle and it comes back on. Just one of the few I like though.

Look up a few more posts.

As for the best track, I love Drive Slow, the Shorty Wanna Be A Thug sample is hot and Paul Wall kills it.
Mon Aug 22, 2005 1:54 pm
i knew that Paul Wall would kill that!
Mon Aug 22, 2005 3:09 pm
Well, my favourite tracks on the album.
Touch The Sky (Nice ass beat, overall just real good)
Roses (Ill-ass topic to rap on)
Bring Me Down (mostly the sound of Brandy's voice, sounds real damn good there)
Diamonds (remix) (Jay kills it. Period.)
We Major (It could do without the extra two minutes of instrumental, but it's hot nonetheless)
The skits aren't too bad, and at least they are seperate tracks as opposed to being stuck at the beginning or end of a song. Because other than the skit at the beginning of Wu-Tang: 7th Chamber I don't listen to skits very many times. "Word is bond."
Mon Aug 22, 2005 3:49 pm
when an album has skits i know that it's mostly shit. 2Pac never had skits, neither do Kweli, Scarface etc....basically good rappers. All the shit ones are full of skits....chingy, nelly, fabolous.
Anyways, if you guys liked the 2Pac sample, get "Ya Owe Me" by Paul Wall & Chamillionaire. It samples "Str8 Ballin".

The whole album is laid back, apart from a couple of the songs.

great to see that he made another track with Common, hes the reason why Get 'em High was my favorite song of the college dropout album.
Mon Aug 22, 2005 10:48 pm
yeah, kanye new album is hot...but i dunno...College Dropout was a lil closer to my hearth than this one...but WE MAIJOR

As you all know, I was a Kanye West Dickrider when College Dropout came around, but I'm seriously thinking of skipping it for the betterment of the NLSC Community.

It's a pity the track with Common is only 1:27 (or something similar). If it was longer it woulda been a lot better.
Tue Aug 23, 2005 7:44 am
that sucks but at least Commons on there, hes the shit.
Tue Aug 23, 2005 7:46 am
Yeah, the shit that comes out of my ass.
(Sorry, I couldn't resist, I have nothing against Common.)

I think August 30th, but I'm never sure with Kanye...
Wed Aug 24, 2005 7:44 am
I've been hearing the 30th too. Already got a Future Shop trip planned.
Picked up Mobb Deep - Murda Muzik and GZA - Legend of the Liquid Sword today at A&B Sound. I happy.

ok, i listened to the new Kanye album for the first time today, its pretty good but i dont think its better than The College Dropout, which was a pretty good album. im disappointed of We Major, actually think its not a good song, Roses was beautiful, Hey Mama aswell, them 2 versions of Diamonds From Sierra Leone was cool, also the song with Common wasamazing, just a lil bit too short.
