Originally there was one show for Perth but that sold out in the first week so they booked another which has also sold out.

Other acts heading to Perth include

I've got 4 Tupac DVD's, don't really bother to get any others as most of them are quite similar.

The new Kanye album is hot, has some great guest appearances on it too and the track which samples 'Shorty Wanna Be A Thug' is great.

I really like the new Kanye album too (thanks RuffRyder  ).
But weren't there supposed to be songs with John Legend and John Mayer on there too? :?

Bittersweet was taken off, for some reason. I believe I read that he is saving it for his 3rd album.

For some reason, I don't think this will be album of the year. AZ, Joe Budden, David Banner, Saigon and I think Busta Rhymes and Papoose are all coming out later this year. Looks like a good finish for the year of 2005. Any hidden gems you've found out about lately?

Not recently, not much has dropped...

Although the new Kurupt album suprised me, and is pretty tight.

I agree, I don't think it will be the album of the year althought it's great and will probably be a classic after some years. And you forgot Nas!

lol@Busta and Banner for album of the year

If you actually understood and listened to Banner's lyrics, you'd understand how deep some of his shit can get. I've loved what he's put out and I'm anticipating this new album to be hot.

And as for Busta, he's so slept on. Genesis was a hot ass album but nobody acknowledges it, kinda messed up. Hopefully Dre's beats gets some people's attention.

I read that Bittersweet was taken off because Kanye got mixed reviews after Diamonds are Forever, so he decided to take four tracks including Bittersweet and put on more 'hardcore' rap or something?

From what I've read, Kanye's new album isn't that much better than College Dropout and isn't a lock for album of the year. I guess we will see when it comes out cause I know I'm buying it... only like a week and a bit left! (Y) Oh yeah, he's learning poetry to improve his lyrics for next year.. this will be interesting

(Listened to Hey Mama and Crack Music and I like them... not love though. Touch the Sky is nice!)

Sun Aug 21, 2005 9:32 pm

How do you "learn" poetry? I always thought it was something that came kinda naturally when you realised what poetry was.. although being a rapper, at least he kinda knows how to rhyme words so it's a start.

I agree, but I've got the album and it ain't that good at all.

Sun Aug 21, 2005 10:34 pm

Kanye said, 'I'm going to go take courses on poetry'

Sun Aug 21, 2005 11:55 pm

I heard this Kanye album too and nothing special there, first one was better, just a little bit.

lyrics themselves dont make a great album

Bustas last album is complete dog shit.....barely any good tracks and it's full of skits where he boasts how great Flipmode is.....pass.

hey, Jackal you listen to a bit of reggae right? how would you translate "journey to jah" ?

Mon Aug 22, 2005 12:57 am
