"They couldn't re-attach it," the elder Green said. "So they had to shave off part of his finger. I had nightmares about it."
PART of his finger? The whole fuckin thing is gone...

word up... damn don't know how he can shoot with that hand but is he a lefty???
Thu Aug 18, 2005 7:36 pm
No,he ain't even a lefty,which is what baffles me..

The shot mechanics run the ball over the index finger... It is the most important finger and you really can't shoot the normal shot without it. The next important fingers are the thumb and pinkie finger as they are the most important for balancing the ball. The ring and middle fingers are important as the pinkie is usually the weakest one and needs help balancing the ball.
But that's how it works... Damn freakish accident, but it's good that it happened when he was 11 and not when he was 17... It would take years and years to get used to playing with a finger missing.
I don't think that missing that finger is going effect his play that much. He was still a first roung pick...

wow...this kid is amazing...he's already projected to be a superstar a couple years down the road...imagine if he had the whole finger on instead of a little stub
one word...scary

The thumb shouldn't be touching the ball once it's about to leave your hand.

I have a friend who doesn't have an index finger on his right hand. (He had one, but since it was too short (birth defect, it was originally attached to his thumb) he eventually got it cut off.) I don't think it ever gave him trouble playing basketball, but he is left handed, so he doesn't use his right hand much.

Shit I just saw the pic then.....I didnt think it was that fuckin bad!
I thought that it was the size of his pinkie......
That must have some sort of effect on his play....hold on, ima watch that vid of him
Okay, after watchin that shit, there is definitely nothin wrong with that hand.
I wonder if they will put his stubby finger in NBA Live 06?

Sat Aug 20, 2005 11:20 pm
it's possible that Lpasso used someone else's body and stuck Green's head for that wall. Not sure though
Sun Aug 21, 2005 1:27 am
Heh, if you stare at his face on the wall paper long enough, you'd mistake him for a retard.
