Sixers waive Aaron Mckie

Used to be a good player for us, then got old and was deep down the bench. However, was one of my favorite players. Was a Sixer since 97.

I think its a good move as it allows Willie Green to get more PT, who we should resign. Your thoughts?

He's getting old.. I won't be suprised if he's picked up by a young team though.. he brings leadership and experience to your team.. used to have a killer sideline jumper

Yeah he's too old and not producing. He's only scoring about 2 or 3 PPG. He will likely get picked up by another team.

I remember a few years back he went on a run and got a few triple doubles. Awell, I guess he's gone downhill since then.

I was going to say the same thing. Didn't he win the sixth man of the year, or at least runner up to sixth man of the year a few years ago?

I think he won it with the 76ers the year they went to the Finals.

Yup, 6th MOTY in 2001. That was such a great team...

He maybe old but he can still produce big numbers.The fact that he only average maybe 2ppg last season was because of his injuries..I think 76ers still need him especially come playoff time but I think they(sixers) prefer much younger players like Green.

He never put up big numbers though... his career high in scoring is 12 a game, and that was in his "prime".

He probably has a couple more years coming off the bench for a few minutes here and there but his sixth man days are behind him; Philadelphia obviously has no need for him.
