Well, it was pretty obvious. A player that warms the bench + Getting paid over 10 million a year = Waived.

The Hawks will give Grant as much money as Shaq makes, they love overpaying average to below average Free Agents.

Well, Grant won't be even in the training camp so he is definitely out for sure.

It was a disappointing season for Grant last year... so it's unfortunate he might get cut. I thought there was a chance he could play well and provide a presence on defence.

At the risk of wearing out the swingman joke...no chance, he's not a swingman. Mind you, it wouldn't be such a bad move for Atlanta providing they didn't match his current deal. They could use a solid player in the middle, though Grant is undersized as a centre. Still a better option than Ekezie.

Yep,he gets paid for doing nothing. Actually he's being doing just that all season, except now he won't be on the roster anymore.

By the way,I don't see the point of this thread if there are no reliable sources invovled. :?

This is a no brainer, he's untradeable.

I would be funny to see him back in Miami for league mininum, tho.

What the hell does that have to do with wanting his hair? I wouldn't mind having a broom-like head myself.

I Agree if they got him why sign Grant.Grant didnt really produce in LA.

You can repeat as many times as you like until the Raptors win their first championships. This will take ages though.

Remember that this Lakers team is totally different to the ones Phil coached in 03-04 season. There are no Shaq, Payton and Malone. Even with Phil back this season, the best thing that he could do is to get the Lakers back to the playoffs. Also, Phil still have not figure out how to play the triangle offence. Who is going to run the point? Is Odom going to play point-forward? Now they must find a good PG that has size and strength.
