DONATELLO'S CLIPPERS DYNASTY

EDIT: Deleted all the crap about ideas for the dynasty. I've made a decision:

I've decided to go ahead with the Kobe on the Clippers idea. As my new computer's video card doesn't work very well with NBA Live, I'm just going to do a simple sim dynasty, just to kind of get back in the swing of posting. Don't expect anything exciting, I'll just be posting roster changes, stats at midseason, end, etc.

2004-2005:

Record: 37-45, Did not make playoffs.

NBA Champions: Pistons (over Mavericks)

2005-2006

Record: 47-35, Lost first round of playoffs.

NBA Champions: Spurs (over Bulls ( :shock:

Hey Donatello, Good luck with this dynasty! I think that the idea of having kobe in the clipers would be awesome! I always wonder how kobe would look in a clippers uni :wink:

Wow I just found out that, while the video card in my new computer looks GREAT with World of Warcraft, it looks like SHIT with NBA Live. So until I stop being lazy and put my other graphics card in here, my screens will look like total crap

During the all-star break, I made this trade, which dumps Kittles's huge salary on the hapless Bobcats.

I'll mainly just do updates every 1/2 season of the sim, they might come really fast, too.

Finished the first season with a pretty bad record of 37-45.

The Pistons won the Finals over the Maverics, 4 games to 2. MVP was Rasheed Wallace.

My team's end-season stats:

Brezec didn't really do as well as I had hoped, but it was well worth it to get rid of Kittles's salary, I guess.

Facing some tough decisions on re-signing players. I don't really want any of these guys back, but I'm under the cap anyway....so either I need to resign some....or risk tanking the next season.

I've decided to go ahead and re-sign Brezec and Ewing to new contracts....we'll just have to see how it goes.

Update: I turned the Brezec signing into a sign-and-trade to the Bulls-

Primroz Brezec/Shaun Livingston for Eddy Curry

Signed Free Agent J. McCoy to play some backup PF for me; drafted a Center who looks promising (N. Nemecek) and a PF who will likely be IR garbage (E. Handzus).

Looking at 2005-2006, this really looks like a killer roster. I think I've done pretty well while staying realistic. I don't forsee any trades for this season.

And- don't worry, I'm going to post the 2005-2006 season and then stop, at least for today. Otherwise I'll just have 14987 pages of me posting rosters

Stats from the end of the 05-06 regular season

Brand is almost more valuable to the team than Kobe is. They seem to be meshing incredibly well. I'm pleased with the Curry trade, and Marko Jaric seems to be doing pretty decent.

We made the playoffs, but lost 4-1 in the first round against the Grizzlies.

Spurs swept the finals 4-0 vs Chicago.
