Why was Dee Brown not in the draft?

I know he had I broken foot but couldnt GMs draft him and wait till he heals? Would that be stupid if he had been in the draft?

He wanted to go back to Illinois instead of risking falling into the 2nd round.

There were too many good point guards for him to be in the first round. And as you mentioned, the broken foot kept him out of a lot of camps and work-outs so he really couldn't prove himself to the teams.

yep, he was already a 2nd round borderline player. from the reports, he wasn't playing that well during the draft camps. his injury sealed the deal in him returning to school

It's a shame, I was hoping to see him in the NBA this year.

if he can come back healthy and prove he can handle the pg role, i think he has a great chance of getting drafted (Y)

He's a good player which is why he didn't enter, he has a legit shot as a 1st rounder in another year.

He'll definitely become a larger part of the team now that Deron and Luther are gone, so he could have more to show.

Playing the odds, staying at a good school system rarely hurts players.
