Suns Will Turn To Finley

Postby RxC6 on Tue Aug 02, 2005 6:32 am

- The Suns are likely to find a replacement for Joe Johnson if Dallas waives Michael Finley, as expected, under the amnesty rule.

Will help them this year, and hurt them the following season.

Suns will manage to go from obscurity, to contenders and then back into mediocrisy within 4 years. That's ...strange

Well, if it does bring them their first trophy, I don't see why not. It is about that at the end of the day, isn't it? The trophy & the rings?

It's a good replacement for now. It'll be a concern afterwards but I don't think the owner is quite worried about that after just having tasted Playoff success. (Basketball-wise & financially.)

Wow, maybe next year Dirk will join Phoenix & the big three will be re-united.

How many times has realgm fucked up this offseason?

For the amount of times they've been right, they've been wrong the same amount.

I'm not buying it untill I see it in a more believable scource.

They haven't reported anything without sources - or stuff that got reported around the same time, have they?

Sometimes I thnk they report too many rumours as a given thing. But other than that they seem ok.

With Richardson and Johnson gone, Finley seems like a miracle for the Suns.

RealGM hardly ever reports things directly from their own sources, if you click the links, they're all taken from local newspapers, not RealGM reports.

Hope the Suns can get Finley to replace Johnson. Finley can give the Suns alot of energy on the floor.

God what a team Phoenix will be if they get Finley.. he'd fit in there like a glove.
Preparation will only take you so far. After that you've got to take a few leaps of faith.

You just gotta hope Dallas won't trade him to some other team and they decide to keep him, unlikely but could happen.

Finley's numbers have decreased in recent years, but so has his role with the Mavericks. Back in 1998 he was the future of the team; nowadays Dirk is the leader of the team. He hasn't been as durable the last few seasons but I wouldn't call him washed up. He should have at least three or four more solid seasons left in him, perhaps one or two close to the level he was at a couple of years ago.

Still hoping Chicago will have a shot at him, though he'll probably want more than the Bulls could - or should - offer him.

how did Dirk get on that team?

as for the topic...if they do get Finley. He can still contribute. He seems to fit the style of the team too considering Phoenix plays similarly to Dallas. But with his age, he'll probably retire there or something
