They'll be a bit better then last year. There still young and developing each year. They also need a PG. They have to step up in the off-season and offer others guys contracts. Joe Johnson will be staying in Phoenix IMO. Curry ... it's a toss up. Hard to pick what team he'll be going or staying in. Maybe sign like Earl Watson or Damon Stoudamire.

They could get Horry eventually, but it seems as if the Suns don't want to let Johnson go at all,so bad news for you guys.

I saw Salim Stoudamire play in Summer LEague. He is a shoot first pass second guy. I admit this guy can shoot but he has to distribute the ball more. he barely avg 3 assist a game. Doesn’t have the passing ability or leadership skills to be a successful point guard

He is 6'8''. I don't know about Harrington, but Smith is 6'7'' without his shoes own. The thing is, there's a trend of listing guys who are exactly 6'7'' at 6'9'' (Travis Outlaw, Marvin Williams, Josh Smith,...).

I read that Williams was absolutely horrible in summer league. I know it means nothing, but I would've thought he'd have at least one good game.

Yeah, really unexciting summer league performances from Marvin. Even his old teammate Mays has had some eye opening games.

Hawks probably win 5-8 more games than last season, for playoffs, they are still a long way. Hawks can't even catch up with the Knicks, Magic, and even the Bobcats. Its been a disappointment for the Hawks. They must now sign some good C and PG if they want to be a playoff team.

They gotta get signing. Curry and Johnson are prolly staying with there teams. ATL needs a TRUE PG. Sign Brevin Knight. Assist Machine.

Hmmmm, The Hornets -may- be a suiter for the Hawks frontcourt needs.

Magliore is rumoured to be less than 100% happy, BUT would prefer to go home to Canada. The Hawks have players we could use (Harrington would be the obvious fit contract-wise) the problem is the hawks dont have any useful center to compensate New Orleans....

As a hornets fan i wouldnt mind seeing Harrington in a blue uniform. But thered need to be a third team involved somewhere to get New Orleans a servicable center in the trade.

He wants to be a Raptor. Or he doesnt mind being one. We did offer them someone but Hornets declined. I wouldn't mind having him in Toronto.

It's not quite the same though. Cleveland and Milwaukee both retained key players who were free agents and both teams would appear to have a bright future. The Hawks don't seem to have much direction, thus they aren't as attractive to free agents despite the money they have to wave around.

The Hawks should be at least slightly better as their young players continue to develop and grow more familiar with each other. However, they don't really have a marquee player and the players on their roster most likely to become franchise players will probably take a few years to grow into that role.

So far they haven't made the moves that will take them out of the NBA basement this coming year, though I suppose they could overachieve. The East is getting too good for them to sneak into the playoffs though.

I'd love to see JJ go to the Hawks and then see him getting traded to Cleveland :)

JJ can't reach his full potential staying behind Stoudemire, Nash and Marion.
