Kobe.

Are you saying Kobe's clutchness is what makes him a great player or a overrated one ?

But I agree with Andrew. Robert Horry is a perfect example of a player who is simply overrated because of his clutch peformances two times a year.

Horry usually makes big plays every game he gets minutes. Think back to these title runs:
95 rockets
2002 Lakers
2005 Spurs

When he's had significant minutes he contributes. It's not like he comes in and makes 2 shots a year.

you will never win a ring without someone on your team who is clutch. you need someone to step up in the big situations at the end of the game and take over. the greatest of all time would just take the entire team on thier back and do this, and infact by doing this it would motivate thier teammates into playing even better. being good and clutch makes you great. being clutch even if you are not that good and only show up at the end will ensure you will always have a job on a contending team.

Agreed. But I was referring more to the fact that a couple of game winning shots doesn't make a player "clutch" or one of the best, especially if they come in "meaningless" games when I say performances in the clutch can lead to a player being overrated. A lot of players hit important shots from time to time, the greatest deliver when it counts time after time.

i fully agree there. thats why imo the big 3 are easily bird jordan and miller. even though miller was the master of the last second shot i have to rank bird and jordan higher as they did it in the biggest games of all.

I agree, but a lot of people were talking about him as of 'the greatest role player of all time'. You don't find that overrated?

As always, Sauru makes a good point (y)

Sacramento would've probably won it all if it wasn't for Horry sinking that crucial, crucial game winner in that one huge game.

Either that, or someone else takes/makes the shot.

I never said he wasn't overated. However, to say he only makes 2 shots a year is wrong. He always makes a solid contribution when given the right amount of minutes.

And for the record, I think Scottie Pippen was the greatest role player of all time.

In matter of fact, it doesn't. It used to have, but it doesn't anymore.

Nope. Only th eprimacy rating is there, which may define to whose hands the ball would go towards the end, but does not affect the chance of the shot going in, whatsoever.
