The same rules do not apply. It's not like body fat % (or overall conditioning)of an 'average' NBA caliber athlete went up since the 60'. They don't eat the same stuff as the general public does and they most certainly don't train the same way. Like D-Weaver said, today's training methods and nutrition are far more advanced than ever before and basketball players use them. Of course, there are some exceptions, but like D-Weaver again said, those are just exceptions. You cannot compare a basketball player with average Joes across America. They don't have a lot of thing in common. Of course, average weight of basketball went north, but weight doesn't tell you anything. Wade is around my height and has 60 pounds more than me. Does that make him fatter
