That's definitely a nice stat sheet. Although it's only a summer league game, I really do like how he's playing better than other prospects. The 5 assists is the eye-opener for me, something that would make Yinka Dare jealous.

Well the boxscore said 1 assist but according to everyone the statisticians there can't count anything other then points and rebounds

So I looked for a review of the game, and the guy said Bogut had "at least" 5 assists.

Had another game today, here's a recap...

Andrew Bogut: Poor kid, he is surrounded by a pretty crappy team. The interesting thing of it all was the Rocket game and this game were two different beasts. The Rockets tried to beat on him, but today it was Bogut doing the beating. Physically, strength wise, the Raptors had no one that could match up with him. Bogut consistently moved players around the paint, manhandling them out of the block. He beat the **** out of Nate Doomekamp on several occasions. The Raptors couldn't get anything to happen inside with Bogut camped out there, so they did a smart thing. They moved the man he was guarding to the top of the key or free throw line, moving Bogut out of the paint. Bogut didn't look as comfortable in space as he did yesterday, and with his teammates sucking it up, he started to become frustrated when he wasn't in the middle able to mix it up as the Raptors started grabbing offensive rebounds. Not to mention the open man he left when he rotated down to help out on penetration. This led to a few frustration fouls on his part. The Raptors put a small man at center (6-9 230 Sharif Fajado) and he gave Bogut a few problems. As long as Bogut remained in contact with him, no problems. But on a few occasions, Bogut left him to cheat underneath, and Sharif used his quickness to slash inside and get position, which led to a few reaching fouls on Andrew. As the fouls started to mount (Bogut ended the game with 7) he got more tentative. He let a penetrating guard get to the rim once, and he stopped bodying players in the paint. Defensively, Bogut was more impressive last night.

Offensively, Bogut was better today. The Raptors decided that Bogut was not going to beat them today and often times surrounded him with three men even when he didn't have the ball, beating him around like a pinball. He hung in there though, dished out some punishment of his own, got to the offensive glass and set up his teammates well. He showed more aggressiveness in the post and took it to the rack, especially in the second half. He showed flashes of the post moves the Bucks raved about, hitting on a baby hook and schooling Fajado on a baseline move for a lay-up. Today he wasn't afraid to put the ball on the floor and take it to the lane. I would like to see him take it up stronger, as he still seems to be a little tentative and slow, allowing beaten players to get back into the mix. It happened a few times today where a guy got in behind him after he had beaten him and swatted the ball away. Once he set strong on the block though, there was little the Raptors could do to move him, and he showed more aggressiveness because of it. He still has yet to show is mid-range shot though. His 16 points, while not impressive stat wise, were pretty gosh darn good considering the way the team played today.

Triple teamed on and off the ball I guess that's what happens when you play with a shit team...

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Milwaukee Bucks center Andrew Bogut, the No. 1 pick in this year's NBA draft, was ejected from a summer league game on Monday after tangling with Indiana Pacers center John Edwards.

Edwards, who was also ejected, got caught up with Bogut underneath the basket and inadvertently shoved him to the ground as he headed back up court.
Bogut bounced off the floor and went after Edwards, but the two were separated by teammates before they made any contact.

After deliberating for a few minutes, the officials decided to eject both players rather than issue technical fouls, eliciting heavy complaints from both coaching staffs.

"It was a pretty quick hook," Bogut said after the game. "I needed a rest anyway."

Edwards said the initial contact was not intentional.

"I don't think it was merited," he said of the ejection.

It was a frustrating day for Bogut, who was 1-for-7 with six points and four fouls in 26 minutes when he was ejected. He was also dominated on the defensive end by Pacers center David Harrison, who scored 14 points in the first half with Bogut guarding him.

The Bucks beat the Pacers 79-72 for their first summer league win after three losses. Chris Owens had 16 points and Madison native Reece Gaines added 14 to lead Milwaukee.

Jimmie Hunter scored 17 points and Harrison 16 for Indiana.

Lol yep got himself ejected and had a fairly ordinary game. I read a post the other day at a Bucks forum that the most impressive part of Bogut's play has been the ability to withstand the temptation to throw Reece Gaines into a wall

Anyways I'm not too concerned, Harrison's a fat shit who'd give most players trouble... not surprised he got all of those points in 14 minutes either, since he seems to give up after that time. Bogut will be ok, his offense is fine but his D needs work.

His game against Harrison wasn't even ordinary. He was 0-4 in the 1st half, his 3 points coming from free throws. Harrison shut him down in a major way.

Which is odd because Harrison doesn't have much in skills yet, i think wasn't he even a football player? Harrison is mainly huge and in the learning stage right now.

If big players give Bogut trouble, that's going to be an issue in the regular season.

It wasn't Harrison's actual defensive prowess that stopped him, it was the size. Bogut's not really strong enough to handle huge players either end of the court. Before he got drafted he said his strength was the thing he was most concerned with working on during the off season, so it must be an issue for him if it has a higher priority than his D.

Yup... Defensive and offensive linemen don't really have to run, they have to rush to the QB, stop the rush, or block their own QB. So basically they're used as human walls or battering rams. But a 7 footer has never been sighted in football so far. The average DL or OL in the league id about 6' 3" and 290 pounds. Still pretty big, no?
