As a Lakers fan you should be pissed man, Kwame Brown is not worth more than Caron Butler. Kwame for Devean George straight up would've been fair.
From the Wizards point of view, pretty good replacement for Hughes, they can continue to develop like they did last year now.

Kwame Bynum monster!!!!

heh, this'll amplify the damage in LA if they both flop, its all a plot for the Clippers to take over as LA's main ball club with Mobley apparently signing there.... Thats why Kobe considered them last year too ;p

I didn't want the team to lose Butler  but I do like Kwame. He's huge, as VanK has pointed out numerous times and he's not exactly very old either. He's still got years and years to come good. Would this shift Odom to SF? Anyways I do like the trade, getting rid of Devean or Chucky is also a good move.

Yeah I've been wondering what they are going to do with Odom... most likely a switch to SF

get rid of odom!!! lakers don't need him here with still a shitload of other sfs on the roster, what the lakers need are role players and draft picks to surround kobe

Probably should've drafted one to be honest... keep Odom I think, maybe Phil can stop him crying.

I hope Washington takes Atkins. I love the trade because I still think Kwame has a bit to offer but I also feel that maybe giving up Butler is a bit too much. Obviously, Kwame should get his fair share of chances. He should start at C or PF and with Odom and Kobe controlling the offence, he will be an ok complimentary player. We need someone to play at the point and keeping George might be good so that LA can trade Geroge and Slava in a package for someone to play at the point.

BTW, what's happening with ANtonio Daniels?

. I know what you're trying to say, but my point is still, that he has size for being a legit C in this league.

Trading Caron was a must for the Lakers. He was basically a 1yr rental with this team. He'll be due for a big contract next summer and the Lakers won't be able to give it to him if they want a shot for Amare.

This would help the Lakers alot because they need big man and Kwame is the right player. Kwame can help the Lakers in points in the paint. This is a good trade from both teams. Butler can replace Hughes while the Lakers added a young talented big man who will now have the opportunity to play major minutes. Go Kwame! Show the Wizards what they are missing from the No. 1 pick in 2001.

I just noticed:
Brown, 23, received two guaranteed years with a third-year option held by the team. The Lakers will not be parting with the 2006 first-round pick they received from the Miami Heat in the Shaquille O'Neal trade last July.

i think Antonio Daniels is a good fit for the lakers. He's a tall PG just the way Phil likes it!!

I really really hate this trade with all my heart. K Brown is/was a disease in Washington but I'm really hoping that he could lived up to his 1st pick overall now that he's in LA. Giving Caron was just way too much!

I love Kobe, but I wonder if he had anything to do with it?
Very shit for the Lakers, they needed a big man and some changes.
But no way they shouldve traded Butler for Kwame....and Chucky! Silly Lakers, now they need a point and if Daniels doesnt go there, they are screwed!

On the upside, they can play Kwame at PF and Odom back at where I think is his natural position at SF. 20 and 10 for Odom.

I really want Kwame to do well, I think he has the talent to do great, but he has to work.
Lets hope for the Lakers sake he works hard and pulls his act together and be the big man the Lakers need.

I'm sure that Jax has a role for him in LA since they traded Caron away.

Just noticed this....
shot for Amare? Are you serious!
Amare aint going to LA, not a chance. Maybe if somehow Shaq went back and Kobe left and Nash was there.....

Yeah... and People give me shit about Yao... and Peja...

Seriously, you never know. It could happen.
Yao won't happen cause Rudy T is gone.. Peja, not sure unless Vlade keeps working with the Lakers... Amare no becuase the Suns are fast becoming a legit contending team.

Not so funny, really. Everybody wants to play in either LA or NY, provided the money is right...
