Batman Begins - Simply Awesome!

Postby Jeffx on Fri Jun 17, 2005 12:14 pm

I just saw the movie and this blows away the four previous Batman films. Dark, gritty and reminds me of Frank Miller's Batman:Year One. It belongs up there with Spidey 2, X-Men 2 & the Hulk(yes the Hulk) as the best superhero films. Excellent job by Christopher Nolan & Christian Bale - this is THE definitive Dark Knight. Loved the teaser at the end.

I thought Batman Returns was awesome, but if you say this one blows away the other ones, then I gotta check this out. When you say, "dark and gritty," it reminds me of this small novel sized graphic book that I owned that shows Batman in his early years (Not sure if that's the same title you're referring to), but I'm persuaded to watch it. Don't worry, I won't reveal anything, just go see the movie.

Now Tim Burton's Batman(1989) was good for its time, but that movie had flaws. It was more about the Joker than Batman. Batman Begins takes the Dark Knight to his roots. This will make you forget the horrible Schumacher films.

I don't care.

Only Batman Movie I ever saw was "Forever" with that one homo faggot who played Robin.

I still think Spider-Man 2 is the greatest Super Hero Movie I've ever seen, but wait until they make III it's gonna own everyone's SOULS.

That joke was so corny you saved it from being completely terrible.

I might see this Batman, but as far as you all saying that Spiderman 2 was better than Spiderman 1, you must be out of your mind. The 2nd Spiderman just seemed incomplete, there wasn't as much suspense in it.

SamRaimi doesn't like Venom. I heard rumors the next villian will be the Sandman.

Oo yea i remember now, the villan is going to be as Cynaide said, Hobgoblin. He is Harry Osbourne. Anyway what kind of a villan is Sandman, even in the cartoons he was a stupid villan.

It wasn't made to be funny, it's just so happen that my name is Batman and it's a thread about the Batman movie. I'm black, I can make my jokes funny when I want

Yep correct... I read something at aintitcool.com that said an inside source at the place they're filming said they'd noticed alot of sand being used and ordered in or something like that.

I just saw this movie today, and I must say, it easily beats out all of the other batmans.

Christian Bale acted pretty well in this movie. As Batman he seemed like the angry son of a bitch that he's supposed to be, unlike the dipshits in Batman and Robin and Batman Forever.

The movie focuses in on fear and using fear, which is something that the other movies didn't really use. It was great to see Batman finally creeping out some punks and then finally beating them up. Another thing I really liked is that it actually shows Batman training with those ninja dudes, which explains why Batman can kick so much ass, and the movies never really touched up on that.

Good movie, probably one of the best movies I've watched this year.

Me too. (Y) I was supposed to meet some friends there but they bailed and left me by myself. :shake: I say fuck that cuz the movie is/was awesome. Hell, I wanna see it again. The thing that makes batman so great is he has no superpowers. As It's_Asdf said he does everything through fear, darkness, and illusions. They also did a good job on the scarecrow too.

I give it       6/6 beers. :chug:
