Postby SkipToMy_Lou on Sun Jun 05, 2005 2:03 pm

Just seeing if anyone is interested in playing an online season with me ?

Me and Jae did it with Championship Manager 2001/2002 and it was quite fun.

I'm planning on buying FM soon, seeing asthough I've got a new good computer so I'll definitely be in. As long as you host, my 32k connection couldn't take it

Probably Thursday or so, the computer's fucking up so we've gotta sort that out first. By 32k, that's what my internet connection is for some reason... we're getting ADSL2+ soon though so it won't matter.

I've been playing it for about a week now, and I think it's great.
Does anyone know why the CM series got sold?

Anyways, I'm maybe up for a online season. Not sure, but I think so... (y)

Eidos( the publisher ), and Sports Interactive (the developer) had disagreements... So SI took the copyrighted gamecode, found a new publisher (SEGA), and made the new CM under a new title. Since the title 'Championship Manager' is copyrighted by Eidos... In retaliation, Eidos found a new developing team for their own management game, with a whole new code and the very familiar title "CM 5". Welcome to the world of commerce and copyright laws... (Y)

Championship Manager 2 (96-97 Update) is the best manager game to date. You could play that hours and hours and still not get bored... Classic.

I'm getting the computer fixed tomorrow, I've gotta buy my mum something for her birthday but I've got a shit load of games to trade in so if EB have FM I'm about 85% that I'll get it.

I'll probably avoid the game as it would no doubt take over my soul and nothing else would matter

Yes, indeed... time just gets consumed while playing CM/FM.... I must have missed out on a whole year of my life 3 or 4 years back with CM 01/02... (N)

yeah, CM 10/02 is the best game ever, I'm playing it right now. Do you guys play the same game all the time, or do you start new every pther day? I like to play the same game, I'm currently on season 2018/19 with Man U. I've played that same game for 1day and 12hours.

Urgh... my computer won't be fixed until either the weekend or next week, so even if I do buy the game today I won't be able to play it.

Well, i play the matches on maximum speed, only one foreground league and 2-3 background leagues. I don't understand how you can play the game that slow
