Well just for fun Chris Paul is being compared to Isiah Thomas and Rudy Gay (1st prospect for the 2006 draft) is being compared to Scottie Pippen :P

Yea, comparing a player to Jordan is pretty crazy, I don't know what they were thinking. Comparing a player to Garnett is a hard one too, they'd have to be pretty good, someone like Dwight Howard or Chris Bosh is fine, but Moiso was an odd choise.

I also agree that you can't just down them for some mistakes, they're fairly accurate for the most part in their scouting and mocks, but they don't have the same resources Draft City does.

DraftCity have that weird guy who posts 60+ times a day. He's like Uber-Andrew.

finding a true comparison for a nba prospect is pretty tough. jerome moiso was a very athletic big man with decent touch when he was in UCLA.. comparable to garnett when he first declared/came into the league.

i like how draft city does best & worst case scenario but some of those sound a little optimistic too

Yea, sometimes I see a worst case scenario for a player, and I'm like that really not bad, I'd take that on my team for sure.

Bucks struck it big....they're obviously going with either Bogut or Williams....Hawks will pick whoever the Bucks don't....Paul will go 3rd regardless of the fact the Blazers have the #3 pick....Blazers will trade down a pick or two and take Green....#4 will probably be either Gerald Green or Deron Williams....#5 will be whoever isn't taken between Green and Williams....poor Utah fell to #6 but they might package up a couple of picks to get a PG like Paul or might settle where they are....

should be a very, very interesting draft....

I'll post my version 2 of my mock draft in a few days time (Y)

Paul won't go third for sure, Paul can definately go 2nd to the Hawks as they already have 3-4 young players at the SF position. They have Josh Childress [SG/SF], Josh Smith [SF], Donta Smith [SG/SF], Boris Diaw [SG/SF/PG], Al Harrington [SF/PF].

They're looking to be a fastbreak team next season like Phoenix which means they'll need an actual PG. Tyronn Lue, Tony Delk and Royal Ivey are definately not that PG. Their are no PG's who they're going after, or who are looking to come to Atlanta in the FA marker, and their are PF's who have been rumoured to Atlanta. Stromile Swift, Kwame Brown, etc...

They're also looking to trade Al Harrington, but Chris Paul is a much better pick for them if Bogut goes #1.

If they're looking to become a fast break team, at least that rules out picking Deron Williams.

Well Deron Williams has lost weight, their was an article in about last week talking about it, but he doesn't have speed, quickness, and doesn't have open court speed either. So it likely does rule him out, though I don't think anyone was taking him at #2 anyways.

I like him, from what I've seen/read he seems like he'd fit in well with Utah or a team along those lines.
