Just heard about it on realgm.com
The Pacers' Donnie Walsh has said that the franchise has settled on a new uniform design for next season, although no date has been set to reveal it.
Walsh described the new look as similar to the current pin-striped model, but as being "a little more modern."
The Pacers have worn the same uniform style since Bird's first season as coach (1997-98).
What do you think they will look like?

Some (or most) will disagree with me, but I love the pinstripes. I'm thinking the change will be similar to how Boston's jerseys changed over the years (j/k

). When they say a little more modern, I'm thinking of the jersey change Seattle went through.

I actually really like the current jerseys, although some of the other modernisations (Dallas, Utah, Memphis) I've liked so we'll see.

haha i bet this is all in honor of the post-reggie era
Wed May 25, 2005 2:14 pm
they should put reggie's face in the jerseys somewhere

HAHAHAH! They might as well
I also like the current uni's especially the yellow ones. They probably just going to change the lettering and make it look like the Pistons lettering or something.

They should put Reggies face on it and have under that "Reggie Miller: Lord of No Rings" hahah
Seriously though, i hope they keep it simple....the pinstripes look cool and Indy has some of the best uniforms in the L.

I have a scary feeling they would follow the hornets, magic style of uniform.

Thats not going to happen.
They actually announced that they were going to change the jersey style a long time ago, way to stay up on current events guys
Donnie knows we all like the unis and I think there are 2 possibilities.
1.) No more pinstripes, everything else the same.
2.) Change from dark blue back to royal blue.

lol "lord of no rings"

Either way it's still "kewl."
I liked the old royal blue ones where the Indiana lettering is colored yellow and white, as I remember.

They'll probably change the trim and stuff on the jerseys and change the font on the front.

I like the pinstripes myself, but as long as it doesn't join the Dallas/Memphis/Utah triumvirate of blue jerseys that have a similar plain retro-yet-modern design (for lack of a better description), it should be a good change.

Agreed

Didn't the Spurs try out that tinfoil concept as well a few years back?
Sat May 28, 2005 12:40 am
I don't think so, I think that was a throw back jersey. I could be wrong though.

Yup, that silver one is even in the game.

I actually liked those... with the stars all over the jersey... I don't like the new ones. The new Hornets and Jazz are awful.
I actually liked the Mavs tinfoil too, especially how it said Mavericks on the away as opposed to the Dallas.
