Turkoglu was doing quite good before he got injured, and would've been a Top 5 pick for 6th man if he didn't get injured.

WTF Ricky should have won the award... he's been consistent all year, and Ben Gordon hasn't done much until the end of the season (N)

WTF Ricky should have won the award

It's already been said... when you average 32 minutes per game you're not really a 6th man. You're more like a 3rd man that comes off the bench. Now until they instate the "3rd man who comes off the bench" award, Ricky is never going to win 6th man.

When you come off the bench, you're a sixth man. It's not like he comes in at the 11 minute mark in the first quarter and plays the rest of the game. His job is to give the offense a spark. Yes, he carries more weight than more sixth men, nevertheless, he's a sixth man.

Oh, HE PLAYS BETTER OFF THE BENCH. Don't give me this 32 minute crap.

I dont know why he didnt start this season. He is arguably one of the best players in the team and yet the bulls didnt start him. Anyway he deserved the award. Good Job Ben.

Well deserved. And who cares if Ricky averages 32 minutes. It's not like the idiot columnists that vote for these awards would even think about that.

I didn't think he'd actually win it, but there you go. Can't say I'm too unhappy with the decision. ;) As far as Ricky Davis is concerned, in my view he's a legitimate Sixth Man candidate without question, but Chicago's susprising season and Gordon's huge impact combined with a roster that doesn't suggest 47 wins surely swayed voters. It's not often a rookie has such an impact coming off the bench playing around half a game.

Ricky Davis deserved this award, no doubt about it but they had to give Gordon something.

Why did he deserve it? He was just a scorer who happened to come off the bench and play starter minutes. Wasn't there some stat that had Gordon as #1 for points scored in the 4th quarter? Isn't that exactly what you want an offensive "spark" off the bench to do?

i guess the voters are pulling a fast one on us again. maybe we should let boston fans/media decide on all the awards involving a boston player

i thought ricky davis was one of the leading candidates for this award, heck, i've even mentioned i thought he would win it.

lol eddy curry made a 3pter but that doesn't make him a 3pt shooter....by definition, davis is a sixth man. but c'mon- the guy is getting just as many minutes as starters. but that probably wasn't the only factor as to why gordon received 88 first place votes to davis' 17. whatever, i don't see you complaining on who won it....

Qballer: if anything, after that big game vs charlotte, gordon went in a slump the last few games heading into the playoffs

DipSetVC: the nba didn't have to give gordon anything. any individual accolade he happens to win, he's earned... hater

stop hating on Ben Gordon...if it wasnt for him the Bulls wouldnt be in the playoffs cause hes practically won them around 15 to 20 games this season...

Ricky Davis has done well but he hasnt helped the Celtics "win" that games if at all....heck the Celtics were struggling until Toine cameback....

D-Marsh averaged 11 pts and 6 rpg in 25 minutes........
Wally World averaged almost identical stats to Ricky Davis in 31 mins....

yet their not on the same level as ricky?....why not?....

Gordon deserves the award just like Simmons deserved the MIP and Emeka deserved the ROY....the only award thats gone to the wrong guy is prolly Ben Wallace....Imo at least Shawn Marion deserved it.
