I'm less of the opinion that VC was just completely slacking (he was a little, but so does Shaq and so does McGrady etc) and more of the opinion he's benefitting from having one of the best PG's in history feeding him.

bummed out knee for 2 seasons...but now hes as fit as a fiddle?....him and B Diddy both faked injuries so they can get themselves traded quicker....I dunno maybe they pulled of "Grant Hill's" but I wouldnt put them in the same league as Hill nor would most ppl.
Carter went from Half Man Half Amazing to Half Man Half Season to Half Man Half Almost Amazing
Plus the only reason his stats are big is because hes the only one that can provide any sorta offense on that team besides Kidd....Pierce has to share the ball with Toine, Payton, Davis and alot more good players...yet his numbers are very solid.....put Pierce on the Nets and he would prolly average numbers like that too but prolly more rebounds.
Pierce is the better player for now but I guess Carter can be the better player in the future but he just wont.......plus I see Carter signing elsewhere if the Nets havent won the title by the time hes a free agent....he is a nice guy off the court(gives alot to foundations, charity's etc) but on the court I dunno hes just a different person.....and not in a good way most of the time either.
< ------ Celtics fan. And Pierce is the better all-around player, encourages the team to win and plays like he's a magician to get a win. He fights every night real hard, and isn't so selfish as Carter.
