Lebron James or Dwyane Wade?

Postby beau_boy04 on Mon May 02, 2005 10:00 am

Overview:

Lebron James: 2003 1st draft pick also known as the "Chosen One" and "King James" always being regarded as the next Michael Jordan and/or Magic Johnson

Dwyane Wade: 2003 3rd draft pick. Shaq nicknamed him "Flash" for his quickness and flying abilities.

Insight:

When Lebron James entered the league we were constantly comparing and debating who was better and such. We all know by know that Lebron James is way much better player than Carmelo but is he better than Wade? They both entered the league at the same time and with 2 years already Wade and his team has made it to the playoff, contrary to Lebron.

I saw how great Wade played against the Nets in the first round and he was marvelous. He is right up there in the top.

Let's get ready for another round of Larry and Magic because Lebron James and D Wade are the future of the NBA. This is how I see it.

Who do you think will be better in 3-5 years? Lebron or Wade?

Wade always had better teammates than Lebron. Last year there was Odom, Butler and Jones, now it's Shaq. All Lebron has had is Z... even MJ had a little more help in his early days to bring the Bulls to the playoffs...

I believe it is early to judge, but my bet is still with Lebron, he's more complete and more of the leader type...

LeBron.
Wade has a hell of a team. They all know their job and they run in Diesal fuel which is pretty powerful.
Wade will be a good player, no doubt, but LeBron has a individual will be better.

No contest, LeBron. Wade is gonna be damn good, though. I can see those two guys being superstars in a few years once the AI's and the KG's are retired.

I too will have to say LeBron. Give him a better team without any bickering between the coach and the front office, and he'd be in the playoffs. He really should have been there this year, and I have a feeling he would have been had Silas not been dismissed.

LBJ no doubt, just look at what he did with absolutely no help in Cleveland, almost make the playoffs. Even worse than having bad teammates, they just stood around and waited for LeBron to do something. He'll be better even though Wade will be good as well.

As much as I hate it, I think Lebrina will be better than D-Wade in a couple of years.

The "better teammates" argument is very solid, there's no other way around it, methinks. :|

No he won't. He'll be the next LBJ, not MJ. There won't be a next MJ or Magic. He'll make his own legacy if anything.

I pick James over Wade too.

I'd take Wade over Carmelo. To think, Carmelo vs James was a hot topic last year.

Carmelo isn't even on the same level as Wade, he's really dropped down in comparison to the big boys. His defense has not progress on or off the ball, his shot selection is still at times wild, and he's not really progressed his game at all, he's remained stagnant over a year.

As a Wade fan, I'd also have to go with Lebron, he's got more physical tools, he's a better passer, outside shooter, rebounder, he's taller, more athletic, stronger, and he's younger. I mean as soon as he develops some man to man defense, he'll be the best player in the league.

Wade will be good, he's onlt 23 years old himself, and he'll continue to develop, especially defensively where he to me has a lot of potential, but he just doesn't have the physical tools Lebron has.

this is a tough debate, strong arguments can go for either player really. If wade really develops his 3pt shooting game into a solid threat from behind the arc then i may go with wade. You also have to take into account the Shaq theory in that he makes everyone improve stats wise with having him on the team.

With lebron hes practically doing it solo there and that pressure can make him crack and lose it if say in 2 seasons the cavs haven't made the playoffs like how they did this year. He has all the fundementals and is already a leathal threat has a lot of maturity in his game at such a young age. He just needs that other key player to help take the burdon of the team being a 1 man show, he just needs a team mate like pippen was to jordan to become a better all round player.

Not much rooms for improvement at the moment for Wade as he's already so good and is under Shaq's guiding.
But there're lots of rooms for improvement for James.

So James will be better..

damn zero votes for Wade. Wade has been nothing but great in the playoff so far this season and last season. Some say D Wade plays the game the same way MJ did when he started his career.

I may have been only 6 years old back in 86 but I do know my basketball history, 15... Even if I didn't , air gordon mentioned a few a couple of posts back... so no more irony, alright?

Yes, I would like to knw as well. The only thing that DW is closer to Jordan than LBJ, is that he's a guard...

Lebron doesn't play like Jordan did, Wade is said to play like Jordan because he's always on attack mode and going to the basket aggresively which is similar to how Jordan played as a young'n. Lebron's game really has 0 similarities to Jordan's, his only similarities are in numbers, not in style.

whoever said wade can't improve much more or whatever, that's just ridiculous. (N)

maybe if lebron wasn't such a freak physically- 6'8 240, i'd say wade

maybe lebron is really good, but he can't lead his team to playoffs for the 2nd time, melo and dwayne already did it twice!

Lebron James in terms of leadership and completeness as a player.

Dwayne Wade for his offensive/scoring skills.
