LB to become the 5th player to...

Postby beau_boy04 on Tue Apr 19, 2005 5:13 pm

Averaged at least 25 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists in the regular season. The other fourth are:

1. Oscar Robertson accomplished such feat in his 6 first pro season. In those years he averaged 30.45 ppg, 9.93 rpg, 10.7 apg and this guy was only 6-5, 220 lbs

2. John Havlicek did it twice.

3. Larry Bird did it in 3 ocassions

4. Michael Jordan did it once back in 1988-89 averaging 32.5 ppg, 8 rpg/apg

5. Lebron James in 2004-05

At the time, a good size for a power forward and Robertson was a point guard. Nevertheless, outstanding numbers (as I said in the other thread).

LeBron's been nothing but impressive his first two seasons, showing improvement in all areas in his sophomore campaign. But he's still got a long way to go yet, and he'll need a better team with a good coach. Otherwise he'll spend his career toiling in vain, with great numbers but not on the stage a player of his calibre deserves to perform upon.

I figured he was talking about Lebron but i was confused.

Congrats to Lebron but... No playoffs for the cavs, so its a failure of a season. He has to get over the same hump jordan did.

It's amazing for a 20 year old to put up those numbers. If I'm not mistaken, is he the youngest player to make those numbers, too?

Cavs gotta win their last games and the Nets gotta lose their last games if Cavs wanna make it.

He's also the youngest to record 3500 pts, 1000 rebs, and 1000 assists.

Well that's because he's the youngest player to enter the league. Tonight, Kobe became the youngest player to reach the 14,000 points. The previous holder was no other than Michael Jordan. I wonder how fast will Lebron get his.

And being as good as he is he's gonna break all the "youngest player to achieve this and that" but I think what really matters here (for me at least) is how many games did it take you do it? Michael Jordan was always one of the first one in this category.
