It was so funny watching Staphen A and all those other jackasses on ESPN sweating when NJ was losing and cleveland was winning. They would have all looked like fools if the Nets had lost, specially Stephen A. He was on Cold Pizza ridiculing this guy for saying that it might happen.

I dont get it, Cavs and Nets both won and Nets make it to the Playoffs? Whats the tiebreaker rule? Like in the NHL its the points thing if not the wins but NBA i am confused

first tiebreaker is the head to head record the teams had.
nets won 3 games
cavaiers won 1 game
so nets have tiebreaker between the 2 teams

The Nets won the season series against the Cavs, so the Nets are in...

That would have been quite a story if Carter wasn't able to return. Even though it would be wrong to blame him or criticise him harshly for it, it would have been another disappointing chapter in the Vince Carter's Injury Woes saga; perhaps the most disappointing. But seeing how well he played after returning, had he decided to sit he would have deserved some criticism he would have no doubt received as he was obviously able to play through it and still be very effective.

Meanwhile, a disappointing finish for the Cleveland Cavaliers who will miss the playoffs despite having a record on the good side of .500. Cleveland have only themselves to blame though, there's no way they should have fallen the way they did.

so who's fault was it? Was it Lebron not being capable to take the lead and motivate his teammates to get to the next level or the Cav just suckass ?

Well, first of all one has to give credit to New Jersey. After making some questionable moves with a view to rebuilding (or maybe just restructuring) this past offseason, they went out and acquired Vince Carter for practically nothing and refused to give up even when Richard Jefferson's season ended prematurely with his wrist injury. Had they kept plodding through the season, Cleveland's slide wouldn't have mattered.

But that still doesn't excuse it or make it any less of a disappointment. Cleveland was sixth in the East, and excluding their 0-3 start, hadn't dropped 3 straight until February 25th - January is the only month in the new year the Cavs have been above .500 during a month. I think the firing of Paul Silas has a lot to do with it. Once things got desperate, LeBron was forced to shoulder too much of the load, especially when Ilgauskas dislocated his finger. The new ownership has probably meddled too much, too soon.

I hate LeBron, and I'm very proud the Cavs didn't make the playoffs.

Too bad for James, especially since the Cavs started the season well. Gotta give the Nets credit for pulling together a good string of wins. I guess LeBron's new mentality for next year is, "Every game counts, every game counts..."

Why would it be LeBron's fault? Do you seriously want to keep blaming him over and over again if the Cavs don't win? As far as I know there are more than 1 player on the team who could be blamed aswell but yea hit on the young guy!

Seriously get out with your Lebron hate or at least hate the team as a whole.

you gotta love the Nets :) Vince Carter shooting almost 40% from beyond the line and playing like he used to and Jason Kidd is who always threating you with a triple double.

Isn't he shooting 41.7% as a Net, he's always been pretty good from beyond the arc though, before this year he was a career 38.6% shooting, already had 2 40%+ seasons, and shot 38% last season too.

They should give a good fight, but get spanked by the Heat.

Wade will guard Carter, Damon the defensive liability Jones will guard Kidd, and EJ will guard Jefferson.
