well minus the wolves the rest from 5-8 is real tight at the moment when you look in the lost column
5. Kings- 30
6. Rockets- 31
7. Nuggets- 31
8. Grizzlies- 32
with seeds 1-4 basically set i guess its a matter of who do you want to play right now lol
wolves will have to work real hard to get in cause they lost the season series 0-3 to the grizzlies and 3 games behind at the moment
Thu Apr 07, 2005 1:40 pm
if you study it a little closer....the rockets could still be knock out, if they lost about 4 games.....they could find themselves out in the top 8..
the final 6th 7th 8th spot are really tight......good drama this year in both the east and the west

i think denver's in. that's a remarkable run they are on. minnesota's making it interesting too winning 7 of last 10 and memphis has obliged by going 5-5 in their last 10.
i'd like to see minny get it but that gasol's return gives memphis the edge
Fri Apr 08, 2005 7:27 am
Yeah, Memphis plays Heat without Shaq then Spurs without Duncan
Mon Apr 11, 2005 2:29 am
Well I told you the tables would turn with all the injuries we were having. We finally get our players back, and now other star players are hurt on different teams. As long as we are playing Phoenix, I'm fine because the Spurs have all the experience, while Phoenix doesn't.
Mon Apr 11, 2005 6:39 am
But it's not like Memphis has all the experience either
Mon Apr 11, 2005 6:51 am
yeah this will be there 2nd season ever in the post season
Mon Apr 11, 2005 3:08 pm
now the playoff picyure looks clearer with Wolves that 2 straight loss by Wolves esp. against the Hawks. they now trailed by 5 games left for the Wolves...
Happy to see Wolves join my Lakers

Memphis has to lose all of their games the rest of the way for the Timberwolves to have a shot...Minnesota would need to win all of its remaining games.
Sat Apr 16, 2005 1:45 pm
The Grizzlies are giving Timberwolves a really good chance. The next win by Memphis or the next loss by Minnesota eliminates the T'Wolves, but until that happens there's still a chance the two teams could trade places. The tiebreaker would go to Memphis so there's no two ways about it - Minnesota has to go 3-0 the rest of the way, Memphis would have to go 0-3.
Memphis may well go 0-3: they finish the year with a home/away double against San Antonio then play the Mavericks at home on the 20th. The Timberwolves face Seattle in Minnesota, the Hornets in New Orleans and then San Antonio in Minnesota to conclude the regular season.

HELL YES! I can't wait, this is getting exciting. GO WOLVES.
Wolves are starting to play some good basketball now and Memphis is struggling. I love it.

Pope Riot, keep dreamin', but its not gonna happen!

Anyone noticed the Nugs are getting perilously close to the division lead?

I know Memphis doesn't have the experience, thats why I want them to play a team like Phoenix who also doesn't have experienced players in the playoffs. 3 of their 5 players have only been to the playoffs once, Richardson hasnt been and Nash has been with Dallas of course. They have players like Jim Jackson, McCarty, Bo Outlaw and such who have playoff experience, and for the Grizzlies they have everyone on the team with playoff experience now except their two rookies because we kept the same team from last season. Bonzi has the most playoff experience and Mike Miller, Jason Williams also have plenty.
And 99% of me say that the Grizzlies will win one of those games against the Spurs because its very unlikely for a team to win both games back-to-back like that. I'm glad that the Twolves have to play Seattle too who aren't an easy task.

Well, Memphis just got creamed by the Spurs and Ginobili and Duncan only played 19 and 23 minutes. I think Memphis is feeling the heat; I hope the Timberwolves can take care of their buisness tomorrow and for the rest of the season.
In order for the Wolves to make the playoffs Memphis has to go 0-2 in the last two games (Spurs,Mavericks) and the Timberwolves have to go 3-0 in their last three games (Sonics,@Hornets,Spurs). It will be close.
Sun Apr 17, 2005 2:39 pm
Well I don't think the Timberwolves will beat the Sonics nor Spurs so that's why I would say its safe to say that the Grizzlies are in. We have a chance at beating the Spurs because its a back-to-back and at least our last two games are at home. Our schedules are pretty much even from here on out with Minny facing the no.2 and no.3 seed and were facing the no.2 and no.4 seeds.

memphis is playing so awful right now, I wonder if they even want to make the playoffs...
Sun Apr 17, 2005 3:04 pm
Spurs will most likely be resting their guys and Sonics are struggling badly right now and Hornets aren't anything to be TOO worried about. The only thing I'm worried about really is Memphis winning because I heard Dallas is resting Dirk and most of their good players for the final two games.

They almost seem to be doing their best to give Minnesota a fighting chance at making the playoffs. It would be fitting if they played each other as the final game of their season, entering the contest with identical records.
