haha sauru, every team needs a scottie pippen type player. ironcially, the closes player to pippen's skillsets is lamar odom. defense, another story.

why are people ragging on odom? and odom not explosive? did see you him in his rookie year driving on garnett? he has his fair share explosive moments. his lankiness and footwork make him look more smooth then explosive

probably the player closest to pippen is andre iguodala. his shooting still remains suspect, but so was pippen's when he entered the league. everything else, iggy's is pretty close (of course he's not an defensive team member but he's pretty damn good)

Noone raggin gon Odom... well I was just saying he just doesnt fit into the system... He needs the ball as much as Kobe to do well...

One question: Does it seem that MJ controls the ball less than Kobe does?

difference between pippen and odom(besides skill level) is pippen would still play 100% even without getting constant touches, odom will start to half ass it if he aint seeing the ball enough.

the system? you mean the system that was scrapped for the triangle? the triangle offense may not even be around when the new coach is hired

when the bulls ran the triangle, scottie was the one handling most of the ball handling shores or at least initiating their sets. more often then not though, jordan had the ball on iso's at the end of games

Isnt it a bit more than coincidence that the Lakers went for Odom??? in hope that his pippen-like talent would turn him into a Pippen???

I still think Kobe doesn't make the players around him better. He's like Stephon Marbury, he dominates the ball, but not the game. Those other years? Well he's had Shaq. Anyhow...It is still just one year without Shaq and who knows if he'll get better. Please don't give me stats, I know Kobe has a lot of assists, but when you are in posession of the ball for so much time, you're bound to get a lot of assists. It's like Marbury. Oh who am I kidding. I'm getting flamed by Kobe-fans. Bleah.
Bored.

Heres a problem... Kobe's image amongst not only the league but with the actual players... whos going to want to play with him... how will the Lakers then move him if other GMs have half a roster hating on him...
