Hello Kobe, where the fuck have you been all season?

Sat Apr 09, 2005 3:08 pm

vs. Seattle:

15-22 FG
7-11 3PT
5-6 FT

2 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, 1 block

42 points and more importantly a 117-94 win.

Caron Butler also had 31 and Odom didn't play. I'm guessing this shows that Butler and Kobe can co-exist a hundred times better than Odom/Kobe, considering Caron only took like 3 less shots.

It's still annoying though, and I'm not too pleased that he took 11 three's either... I mean he (Kobe) forces up like 6 of them a game and hits 1, then procedes to throw up about 900 fadeaway jumpers that don't go in. If only he could play like this more often, well, or at least shoot over 50% more often.

I shouldn't get enjoyment out of Lakers missing the playoffs but I do

....Fucking Vanessa and hanging out with Michael Jackson.

not every night Kobe is going to go 7-11 from 3point range.

it was a good night for him... but remember he made that three point record against seattle two years ago.. this time he shot 7-11... just coincidence!

Sat Apr 09, 2005 9:54 pm

omg.. what's the point of winning after missin the playoff...???
wouldn't it be better if they just lose n get a high draft pick..

Sat Apr 09, 2005 9:57 pm

Well.. the Lakers wanna see how the team could play together... much like the GSW...

Kobe's been trying hard to lead all season... maybe hes trying to learn now

I think its better not to give up!

When you're the Lakers, you don't tank games. Simple. There's history involved...

this is whats wrong with most people imo. if you have ever played basketball you would know that there is something called pride. you cant just turn this off cause you are going to miss the playoffs.

Sun Apr 10, 2005 2:44 am

^^ that's correct....I've played on some good bball teams, some bad bball teams, and good and bad teams in other sports, champions, cellar dwellers....the one common denominator....I never gave up....always wanted to win....pride....it's all heart....just ask Larry

how does pride benefit the team now?
why don't they play for pride earlier when they have the chance to win and get into playoff?
if you let the benches play more and rest the starters..and get high draft pick
you are investin for the next season..

Sun Apr 10, 2005 11:10 am

^ what are you suggesting? let the fans that pay to see kobe bryant and lamar odom settle for bench players like luke walton, slava and others?

Sun Apr 10, 2005 11:16 am

Becuas ethere were many opbstacles...

I dont wanna make excuses but if u think about it this way. Kobe had a rough year last year with his trial... he was out of shape the whole season and tries hard to get back in form during the summer... he was injured for a bit this season... and then he has the media on his back more than ever and a lot of new teammates.... It would be ahrd to perform well and given all of these problems maybe I did expect a bit too much from him....

Next season, after everything has subsided I think we will see him play a lot better

I mean hes getting 27, 7,6 at 75-80%... how would he do at 100%??? But thats debatable

Sun Apr 10, 2005 4:29 pm

Seattle has been slacking lately not to mention they have a few injured players. Good game for Kobe but he still has a bit to learn.

Mon Apr 11, 2005 1:28 pm

haha these lakers wanna act like good spoilers.....its whats left of them this season anyways.haha

Mon Apr 11, 2005 5:57 pm

We lost again... the team management is looking at who to keep and cut right now!

Mon Apr 11, 2005 6:01 pm

starting with kobe :P j/k

seriously they should get a decent coach then start looking for point guards....

what a mess Lakers've been in this season.
Lets see how will lakers improve next season..

Mon Apr 11, 2005 6:42 pm

Well.. I know they have their sight set on Jax... personally I really think there is a chance he will be back.

On the PG thing... we'll draft one...

ANd Lamar will be sent away for a rebounding big man...

Well thats what i think we should do.. and in training camp: defence and teamwork should be the main focus!

Tue Apr 12, 2005 1:52 am

imagine lakers draft a guard that can drive into the lane really fast and kobe learn how to pass, and shoot the right way..that would be enough to let them to make it to the playoff..i mean..kobe has the best individual skills...and lamar is pretty all rounded imo..they have a good 3 pt shooter like george.and couple of decent centres...they have a line up that is so much better than any average team..i dont see why arent they winning...

Tue Apr 12, 2005 7:54 am

Lamar gotta go... he cant play well in LA... he doesnt have the ball enough...

Tue Apr 12, 2005 8:07 am

why does odom have to go? perhaps its the coaching staff's fault for not finding a suitable offense for him and bryant?

wade is similar to bryant in that he can create shots for himself and teammates and he worked out pretty well with odom last year

and seatlle is just one example of a SG/SF duo where both players like to have the ball & create and are still able to coexist

"He would have made life a lot easier for everybody [this season]," Kobe Bryant said. "His basketball IQ is at such a high level — his understanding, his feel for the game, his passing ability. He just opens the floor for everybody."

"A couple practices ago, I switched myself to the second unit just to play with him. If they come to me and ask me my opinion, I'd tell them I love to play with him. He's something else."

- Kobe about Vlade

Looks like Kobe's saving Vlade's career for one more season...
