Or so ESPN is reporting:
Magic forward still cautious over leg
It's a shame as I was hoping he'd finish the year having played 70+ games, I was also hoping he'd be in action for the game that will be shown here this Saturday. But it seems his shin injury is more serious than first thought so caution sounds like a good approach.

why is good grant seems so fragile?
beats me
Thu Apr 07, 2005 6:18 pm
I think the shin injury is just a matter of bad luck. His ankle has apparently held up fine this year.
Thu Apr 07, 2005 6:20 pm
It may mean that the sixers or nets will get #8.

But we should not count out the magic yet especially if each player steps up big time
Thu Apr 07, 2005 6:22 pm
I'm guessing the Sixers will hold on to that last spot. Orlando's not mathematically out of it yet but they're getting close.

everyone's moral in orlando is down....Hedo's gone and now Hill, stevie is starting to be a headache again...bad luck for 5 years in a row...all injury related, wonder who could be the jinx..

anyways great read here and good info...

everyone's oral? eeww
anyway, that seems like a perennial headline already. the only difference is that it's usually at the beginning of the season

LMAO

This is definitely a blow for Grant Hill. After making such a good return injuries comeback to haunt him.
I think next season could be his last, hes prolly going to take upto coaching no doubt but I just think Hill isnt ready to duke it out for a whole season anymore. Maybe he can play on for another extra year if he plays with limited minutes.
Sad, Hill's such a respectable figure of the game. Its sad to see someone of such a good nature to have so much of problems with injuries.

Jameer Nelson

you still kinda spelled it wrong. it should've been morale

Poor Hill.. great season nonetheless- its the smart option to rest!
Well the Magic are set for the future... Dwight and Jameer are
Thu Apr 07, 2005 10:10 pm
So anyone know if this is his last season?
Thu Apr 07, 2005 10:20 pm
It seems he intends to play on, just not anymore this season since his shin injury is causing him a lot of pain.

Hes really been the thing in orlando along with Francis. Hes been scoring 10-15 points a game and has hit his open threes.
Fri Apr 08, 2005 6:52 am
howard is a frickin' beast! he killed the bulls last nite.
but yeh, i think hill's still going to give it a shot this year since orlando is in contention for that last playoff spot. or least i hope so since he's on one of my fantasy teams
Fri Apr 08, 2005 7:10 pm
Jameer and Frasncis could play the backcourt... although im wrong bout Cat at the 3... but since Cuttino went its all good... Jammer at 1 and Franchise at 2 would be cool... Is Deshawn starting at SG for the Magic though?
Sat Apr 09, 2005 5:17 am
Well, we're in April. At least this thread wasn't made in January or December
Sat Apr 09, 2005 6:27 am
amen to that
Sat Apr 09, 2005 8:24 am
eh, its sad for grant, but the magic werent going to the playoffs anyway.
Sat Apr 09, 2005 10:46 am

Sat Apr 09, 2005 11:54 am
He already is nasty!

During the Magic/Pistons game today Bill Walton opined that Grant Hill should step back and become a bench player due to all the injuries, stating that he can't play the kind of minutes he's played this season. I can see his point, but I think it's being a little melodramatic. Hill's been doing exceptionally well this season given the injuries he's come back from, and the current injury isn't related to his ankle but came after a stiff kick to his shin a couple of months back - an unfortunate accident. Had he not suffered that misfortune, he most likely would have ended up finishing the season having only missed those five games earlier in the year.
