L.A. Lakers 32 34 0.485 18.0 20-18 6-5 21-13 11-21 4-6
L.A. Clippers 29 37 0.439 21.0 16-27 6-9 22-13 7-24 4-6
do you think thay can actually catch the lakers???
Tue Mar 22, 2005 8:04 am
I doubt it, but there's always that chance.
Tue Mar 22, 2005 8:24 am
I want to start by saying I love this thread being a Clippers fan. It would be the greatest thing to happen to LA since Jay and Silent Bob. (Bad Joke)
I just don't see it happening. We cannot win close games. It's been like that all year. If they would have won 50% of the games decided by 5 points or less than we would be in the damn playoffs but I guess that is the price you pay when you root the Clips.
Next Year!!! (Getting tired of saying that)

with 10 road games, 5 home games, i don't know if they can do it.
It would be nice for a joke though.
I'd get to bitch @ my friends who are Kobe lovers than the Clippers are a better team without Kobe who screwed them in the offseason.
Sorta funny cause the Lakers are closer to the Clippers than they are to the Nuggets for the 8th spot.

No the clippers will not catch the lakers, but it would be pretty awesome if they did.
Tue Mar 22, 2005 10:54 am
Wat if the Lakers stay ahead but land a higher draft pick than the CLips? How would u guys feel?
Tue Mar 22, 2005 11:16 am
Then the Lakers got owned! Andrew Bogut will dunk on Mihm for years to come..
Tue Mar 22, 2005 6:25 pm
The Lakers would have to win a maximum of 12 of their last 16 for the Clippers to catch and overtake them, a maximum of 13 of their last 16 to end in a tie. And the Clippers would need to go 16-0 for that to happen. It's still mathematically possible and the Lakers probably won't go 12-4 the rest of the way which increases the Clippers' chances, but I wouldn't count on it.

The Clips keep losing close games, and because of that can't win on the road. Look at today against Portland, they had a 15 point lead, and then let Portland cut it back down to 6, the last game against Sacremento, they should've won, but again execution down the stretch.
Hopefully they catch up, it would be very nice, 30-37 right now.
Fri Mar 25, 2005 3:22 pm
lakers 32-36
clippers 31-37
should be a close race!
Fri Mar 25, 2005 9:47 pm
eventually Clipps will start winning the close games, and that could increase their win total significantly. The talent is there and the experience is on it's way.

Their's a HUGE difference in Clipper games when Jaric and Livingston are playing as opposed to Brunson on both ends of the floor.
Wed Apr 06, 2005 3:52 pm
clips lead by .5 games now
Wed Apr 06, 2005 6:02 pm
Good. I say they tank the rest of the season.
Wed Apr 06, 2005 6:58 pm
oh shoot..
shame on lakers... who kept on losin..
Wed Apr 06, 2005 8:14 pm
hahaha... Clips will beat Lakers for the first time.. is it the first since both were in LA?
Wed Apr 06, 2005 10:42 pm
livingston was sick tonight against the bobcats
17 points (including the game winner), 6 steals, 8 boards, 9 assists
one word.. WOW
Wed Apr 06, 2005 10:46 pm
^
Yup, he followed up his 10 assist game very nicely, Brevin Knight really wanted to win that game though, he made a lot of big plays down the stretch. Knight has a streak of double digit assist games going himself, pretty impressive considering his minutes and his team.

Very impressive. If he can keep playing like that, he has a very promising future.

Shows what I know. The Clippers are, for a moment at least, ahead of the Lakers.

I knew this is where I could find Fgrep! He is the most
furious clippers fan ever! Clippers and Wizards all the way.
Thu Apr 07, 2005 11:47 pm
Wow if the bulls have made the most positive turnaround this season, the Lakers have made the most negative turnaround

lol
Sun Apr 24, 2005 10:32 am
Final Records
LA Clippers 37-45
LA Lakers 34-48
Guess the clippers didn't need Kobe after all..
Sun Apr 24, 2005 11:00 am
...and the Clippers even injuries too, their was no PG on the team exepct for Brunson and Chalmers, Maggette was injured, Simmons for a little while, Kaman, Wilcox before he got banished.
