Sit, I guess your signing has given the Nets that backup PG to Kidd (and eventual successor) that they have always been looking for

match_66 wrote:Yeah hard loss, its realistic your struggling.

Yeah realistic league leader numbers, except for the scoirng but that seems to be the trend in the last few years fo live.

thanks for checking my dynasty.
yes the points seems kinda low but as you said it always an issue for past live...
and better check it after in few days coz your 1-on-1 will be next

jxuusa wrote:oh damn man, i get to face ck, that certainly should be interesting

well i'm rooting for you but honestly ck will win it...

John WB wrote:No real high scorers as MVP candidates.

well scores in 2nd years always not realistic and too low, its a past issue in Live.

i wanna see this crazy move...
make a screenshot of it ^^

Seraph wrote:That's exactly what I want

well its not a crazy croosover ala-AI,a simple one, the 2-handed jam, i post it in the recap...

jxuusa wrote:lol, he must use the d-pad or whatever its called, the little square with numbers to type, cause thats is the only possible way he could have hit 2 and 0. though if its possible, i'd wanna see it too

i dont know about the control... and as i said i never control any single player in this tournament. if i do, i'll win it all the way

The G.O.A.T. wrote:Woah! 5 guys averaging double-doubles!

well i don't se any reason to be surprise about this....
they are MVP candidates

kobelive2005 wrote:hey michhy wassup? still goin strong i guess..... nice mvp candidates you've got there, i'm surprised kobe isn't there...... and also d.howard a candidate......

anyway, nice to see you're still goin strong, keep it up (Y)

hi bro, its been a while since you post here...
well in order to be a MVP candidates, you need to have a sick stats
30 PPG, 7 plus reb and 7 plus asissits, about 2 assist and 1 blocks to make Kobe an MVP candidate..

again thanks bro for checking my dynasty (Y)

The X wrote:Dwight Howard has really stepped up for Magic this season....crazy development....a Garnett-like jump....

im using default EA rosters and they give Howard an excellent potential....
we might see Howard winning MVP and MIP at the same time

Sit wrote:Dude, Dwight is doing surprisingly well... and so is Rashard Lewis

i'm more surprise with Lewis coz i now Dwight had excellent potential...
While Lewis had Allen on the same roster thats a hard thing to do since Ray can give 20 plus point every night. things will change after a few weeks.

its just a 2-game skid, dont worry. Odom will come back from injury and my team will be in full strength once again.

that's another shocking stats, i think Splitter and Krstic (sp) are the difference maker for the Nets.

The X wrote:Sit, I guess your signing has given the Nets that backup PG to Kidd (and eventual successor) that they have always been looking for

hmm...
i dont think so.. s i said those 2 players are the factors for Nets nice start...
but lets see before Sit's signing... Nets 8-6, after signing 7-3...
just wait for Sit's stats

Lakers Make A Bold Move

Image
Bruan Grant will serve as a mentor for
young Bulls frontcourt

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Dec 19 -- After starting the season very well, the Lakers started to struggles when injury struck the team. Though the injury somehow gave the Lakers few more loss, it also gave the Lakers a time to evaluate their last off-season moves. With Grant and Odom getting injured, Andersen played very well and the Lakers front office decided to give him more time in the court. But with deep frontline rotation, Lakers need to un-load some of their players. After studying stats and how each player play this season, Lakers decided to shop Brian Grant to other teams.

Many teams showed interest with Grant since his playing well this season, but injuries and his big salary made some of these teams to back-off. In the end, Chicago Bulls decided to make the gamble by trading veteran Antonio Davis. Davis will be a free-agent after this season and will give the Bulls salary flexibility if they hold on to Davis. But they bite the bullet and get the service of Grant. Grant is a hardworking player with god work ethic. He will be a great addition to these young Bulls and will be a good mentor for guys like Curry, Chandler and early Rookie of the Year candidate Chris Taft.

Lakers, on the other hand, gave them the salary flexibility. A source said that Davis will eventually waive to open a roster spot for the Lakers. This will give more minutes for players like Andersen, Milicic and Santos off the bench.

Also involve in the trade are Hakim Warrick and a conditinal draft pick which Bulls demanded from the Lakers. In return, Lakers received seldom-used Eric Piatkowski.

Warrick only played 8 games averaging 2.1 points, 1.3 rebounds and 0.8 assists in less than 7 minutes a game. He will get more opportunity playing for the Bulls compared to Lakers. Piatkowski meanwhile is yet to step on the hardcourt this season.

Maybe you should have gone for something bolder and traded Kobe... Nah, who am I kidding, you are a devoted No 8 fan, are you not?

Too bad the Bulls just commited financial suicide in your dynasty, but hey, you're the GM and you played them your way (Y)

I dunno about handing Warrick and a pick over, though, that seems a bit too steep...

A. Davis is a good player at PF and sometimes at C in Live, you shouldn't waive him right away, give him some minutes off the bench... My take...

Keep up the good work (Y)

Ah, you got screwed on that deal. Aging player and one bench warmer for a draft pick, potential future star, and Grant.

You forget what's IMO the best part of this for the Lakers: the cap space Antonio Davis leaves open when he becomes a free agent next season.

I can't see myself playing a Lakers dynasty without Kobe :)

Well yes i soehow rip Bulls in financial aspect but make their team a lot better. Well Warrick and a pick will somehow make up and make the trade fair, i got salary flexibility and Bulls get young Warrick and a pick.

Nah, thats why i made the trade to make more minutes for other players
Again thanks bro...

The X wrote:conditional draft pick?!? what, so if it is lottery top 20, then it's protected?!?

well its the opposite. if its a lttery pick, i will give it to Bulls but if i make the playoff then i own the draft pick.

Sit wrote:Good trade micchy... letting Grant go was good.

i really like Grant on live but he was the only player i can trade (except Mihm)...
well at least he will have time in Windy City...

John WB wrote:Ah, you got screwed on that deal. Aging player and one bench warmer for a draft pick, potential future star, and Grant.

the purpose of the trade is too free a roster spot and give more minutes to other guys coz i think my team is too deep...

yes thats also a factor of the trade but still im way over the cap even after Davis became free-agent.

thanks, yes your right about that...

yeah but i still prefer Jacobsen to shoot the treys...

----------------------
I know its been a while since i made a game recap... im just too busy with work and fixing our new house so i was not able to play...
also the Hawks dynasty somehow occupied my time but still the work and house stuff are main reason.

But I was able to squeeze 1 game today and i' try to update it now (i have to coz tomorrow i'l be busy again :( ....

Los Angeles Lakers (14-10) @ New Orleans Hornets (9-14)

Game Preview

Lakers are currently riding on a 2-game skid. They made a bold move by trading starting power forward Brian Grant and seldom-used Hakim Warrick to the Windy City for Antonio Davis and Eric Piatkowski. Davis was then released yesterday by the Lakers. Lamar Odom returns to the line-up after being sideline by a finger injury.

New Orleans Hornets are also struggling. They are on a 5 game losing streak and will try to go back on winning ways as they host the Lakers. Baron Davis leads the Hornets in scoring but Hornets need to find another player to score more for the team. Jamal Magloire meanwhile leads the team in rebounds.

Kobe Bryant will be match-up against 2nd year player J.R Smith but Baron Davis is still the player to watch out for the Hornets. With Lamar Odom on the line-up, it will be a great addition for a very impressive frontline of the Lakers. Marvin Williams, on the other hand, will try to have another great game against the Lakers.

Game Recap

Image
Lamar Odom had a great first game after
spending almost 2 weeks in the injured list.

Lakers opened the game with an 8-2 run with Odom scoring 6 of them. Rodney Roger was called for 2 straight fouls and P.J. Brown replaced him. With Brown on the line-up, he made a great job defending Odom. Midway of the quarter, Hornets grabbed the lead, 14-12 but the 1st quarter ended with the game tied 21-all. The Hornets behind Smith and Williams put the Hornets on top 29-24. Odom, after scoring 8 in the 1st period, was held to only 2 points in this quarter. The Hornets continue to lead in this quarter. Gilchrist came off the bench and scored 5 points. On the other hand, only Kobe Bryant had a good showing in the 2nd quarter, scoring 7 points to finish with 12 points in the 1st half. J.R. Smith and Marvin Williams also had 12 points for the Hornets. Hornets lead 44-39 at halftime.

The Hornets extended their lead in the 3rd period. They showed balance attack in this quarter with all starters scored 5 points or more. They took a 62-50 with 3 minutes left in this quarter. Bryant was still the one playing good for the Lakers. At the end of the quarter, Hornets still lead, 69-62. In the final period, it was a shootout between Bryant and Davis. Davis scored 11 points for the Hornets while Bryant scored 17 points to help the Lakers came back in the game. Odom added 11 points in this quarter as the Lakers tied the game at 99-all and forced an extra period.

In overtime, Lakers continue their offensive run and jumped to a 4-point lead. Alston and Odom led the Lakers in this period. Both scored 5 points for a 116-112 win against the Hornets. Kobe Bryant finished with 39 points while Odom 28 points in his 1st game coming from an injury. Baron Davis led the Hornets with 29 points while both Smith and Williams finished with 22 points

Kobe Bryant escapes Williams’ defense using his speed and dribbling skill.
Chris Andersen had a great game off the bench against his former team.
Marvin Williams goes for a dunk in front of Kobe Bryant.
J.R.Smith, had a great showing against Kobe Bryant, goes for a reverse-dunk.
