the thing that amazes me about this record is anytime you fouled out it would kill your average. still i dont think this is harder to break than most of the records already mentioned. 50ppg is damn impossible, 100 points in a game,wilts rebounding record. there are players now that could easily go 48 every night but coaches just wont let them all the time. i dont blame the coaches either. i cant imagine leaving your best player on the floor at the end of the game when you are up by 16. all you need is a few OT games during the season and the record is broken.

That's true, but to beat Wilt's scoring feats a player would also need the chance to put up at least 50-60 field goal attempts.
