But now they playd 12..

Always 12 lol, I don't think they ahd 80 minute games. Wilt played every minutes of about every single game though in one year because he averaged over 48 MPG because he played in OT's too.

Must've had to stay out of foul trouble a lot..

Agreed, Wilt's 48.5 mpg oddity is another that likely won't be broken.

The 100 pt record is definetly hard to beat. But the rebounding one is the toughest of em all to beat.

the thing that amazes me about this record is anytime you fouled out it would kill your average. still i dont think this is harder to break than most of the records already mentioned. 50ppg is damn impossible, 100 points in a game,wilts rebounding record. there are players now that could easily go 48 every night but coaches just wont let them all the time. i dont blame the coaches either. i cant imagine leaving your best player on the floor at the end of the game when you are up by 16. all you need is a few OT games during the season and the record is broken.

just to maybe add to the topic a bit, anyone think that another player will ever average a tripple double for the season?

Also the result of this simulation showed that LeBron, being among the best players in the league for many years, doesnt challenge the scorers title much, though finishing second for two years.

well 50ppg is hard too, but if iverson hits all 28shots a game he would be averaging over that lol
but the 48.5min is really difficult because you have to stay out of foul trouble. 2 fouls in first quarter to the bench u go. You just killed your minutes per game. The coaches pulling you out.. don't blame them either, but that too makes it more difficult. If someone was really a good good shooter and just went beyond nuts they can average 50. But I'm pretty sure coaches reguardless will pull you out and you might get in foul trouble for 1 quarter.
both difficult, but i feel minutes per game is harder. I don't think I could even average 48.5mpg in NBA Live 2005

Lebron doesn't really have a chance at 100, like I said, it's too unatural. First of all, he'd have to take almost all the teams shots, they'd have to play a super fast paced game, and maybe even foul the other team in the 4th so they can get the ball back.

Also with a guard/forward it's much easier to double, with Wilt, even when he's doubled, his teammates can just throw it up high for him, since their weren't too many 7'0+ guys in his time.

Right now it's too hard to average that many MPG, coaches don't want to risk injury in blowouts, and they also want to play their rookies and young players. Wilt would've played all the way to the end in games even if they were up by 30, right now people will say it's bad sportsmanship to have your best player on when it's already over.

That's true, but to beat Wilt's scoring feats a player would also need the chance to put up at least 50-60 field goal attempts.

we were 4-0...... :lol:

i dont think thats breakable the 82-0....but hey its mathematically possible, but somehow physically impossible 8-)
