Like most people I'm surprised by the announcement. Even though the Cavs have been struggling and there's been a little friction between Silas and the organisation, I'm surprised by the abrupt nature of the decision; I didn't think his job was in such immediate danger, especially with the Cavs still top five in the East and heading for the playoffs.

According to SC, he's the 9th coach to be replaced this season. Almost a third of the teams have a new head coach, and the Nuggets even replaced their interim head coach before the season was through. Not much job security in the coaching ranks this year.

that really pissed me off, but other than that i think he was a good coach.

i thought boozer said he was gonna stick with Cavs in offseason..
but then boozer went to sign with Utah...
if you were Silas.. one of your favourite players told u that he'll be with the team.. but later on he went to play with jazz..
wouldn't that piss you off?

i assume ..boozer was one of silas' favourite player.
