Decisions crucial for Cavaliers
A little more on the situation with Jeff McInnis. Seems like he'll be gone soon, possibly for nothing in return.
Mon Mar 21, 2005 3:41 pm
He shot extremely well. It's sad to see his team loss. Only one bench point!
and he has 10 boards and 5 assists too. thats just amazing
Mon Mar 21, 2005 11:48 pm
Hahaha.. his team lost

Great game by Lebron, I don't know why the Raps had Pape Sow on him, I'm hoping for the guy to get some good PT, then he finally does and as a PF/C is matchup up against onw of the best swingmen in the league, I don't get the logic.
The Raptors took the idea of make Lebron a scorer as opposed to a passer to a whole new level in this game. Everyone seems to go off on the Raps defense, Lebron 56, Kobe 48, Dwight Howard 20 rebounds twice vs Raps. As a player if you ever want to boost a stat, just wait for the game vs the Raps
...but in the end the Raptors win, but they need to lose to the Bulls, Milwaukee and New York are right there with us, and we need that 7th pick as opposed to #9.

i saw this game on telemundo. the spanish announcers get so excited. they treat a 3pt shot like it's a goal scored in soccer. but i tip my hat to them- the broadcast is never boring...
aside from the scoring barrage provided by james, i was impressed by rose. looks like he still has some gas in the tank. at least on offense. he had some tough post ups from 10-15ft. he is one of the few players i;ve seen that tries to post up from the 3pt land
when i see marshall have these great games, it makes me think, "what the hell is management thinking?" now they are showcasing this guy?!?!
chris bosh... chris bosh...

Bosh was injured in the game, hurt his back 2 games before, but he's been bad against the Cavs all year also.

yeh i know. i have him on my fantasy team

Nice score by LeBron yeah but still... New threads when the guy reaches 50... No threads when he shoots, what, 3 out of 20? lol
Aka, the media boom. Guy plays below average ever since the beginning of 2005, then has one great game (which the team loses), and people go crazy again.
It is a good score of course, but still, come on.
I am, however, impressed with the cavs win over detroit

He's the pretty boy of the NBA. The only player that gets threads both for good scores and for terrible games is Kobe.
A question off-topic: Did the Bulls won that game against the Celts when Mike scored 64, right??
Thu Mar 24, 2005 8:28 am
dunno, but they won the one against the Cavs when he scored 69...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think they actually lost that one by 2 or something.

Please don't tell me that statement was referring to LeBron James?
Thu Mar 24, 2005 12:46 pm
He's been putting up MVP numbers this year and single handedly carrying the Cavs to a winning record. I don't see how that's below average, especially for a 19 year old.
Thu Mar 24, 2005 1:13 pm
Correction: He's 20 now

dont compare kobe's 56 with lebrons..
kobe did in 33-36mins (only through 3 quarters). lbj did it in 48.
helluva good job by LBJ, but uncomparable to kobe's.. (you can argue that at age 20.. blah blah)
im happy for the 10 and 5. still.. 48 mins..

finally someone puts in a good word for kobe...

Excuse me but how old was Kobe when he scored 56? and how old is Lebron now? 20! exactly.... and Kobe didn't have to carry the team at Lebron's age either. Though, I'm sure sometime in the near future Lebron will score 70+ points.... I can already see it....

beau_boy04 wrote:Excuse me but how old was Kobe when he scored 56? and how old is Lebron now? 20! exactly....
OMG, kobe was 23, OMG, big difference...
Thu Mar 24, 2005 6:17 pm
you don't call 3 years a big difference? then I'd start treating all 15 y/o boys like 18y/o adults...
Thu Mar 24, 2005 7:03 pm
how old was jordan when he scored 61 against celtics?
Thu Mar 24, 2005 7:13 pm
i'd say that 3 years isn't tht big of a difference when over 18-19... maybe i'll change my mind when i'll get there?
anyways, my point:
i agree, lebron is better than kobe was at 20, probably better than kobe is right now,
BUT
you cannot compare two single games and say that lebron's 56 is better than kobe's
because he had to carry the team (anyone who scores over 30 or passes 10 is)
nor because he was younger at the moment (scoring 56 at the age of 40 tops all this shit),
either way 56 points in 36 minutes is in MY opinion better than 56 in 48 minutes.
and isn't it belived that athletes achive their top form during the age of 22-25,
it's all downhill from there, physically i mean, the knowledge, ofcourse, keeps on growing...

SO wrote:how old was jordan when he scored 61 against celtics?
He was 23 when he scored 63 against the Celtics.
Thu Mar 24, 2005 11:09 pm
So if age doesn't make a difference... MJ beat both of them. IF age does make a difference... I'm not sure what that would mean.
But really... as others have said you cannot compare two seperate games... but I have to admit, Bron looks better than Kobe was at age 20... now thats big coming from a Kobe fan...

And here we see again how the "pretty boy of the NBA" (thanks Drex) failed the team scoring 30%. Im wondering whats his last twenty games shooting anyway...
Who ever called this any way similar to MVP perfomance must be really "not" considering every other player in the league deserving the title like Nash, Duncan, Nowitzki or Garnett. Last 15 games LeBron has been on 44% . This 44% is 4% below his season average, and just a percentage above Kobe's.
But as I said before, he does one great game and is average or below for the next 3 or four. Maybe more. Give the guy a rest, to hype him for almost nothing like that doesnt make his situation easy.
He is young and needs to develop, tag him with "next yber-super-star signs" and he'll be plagued.
